Hello~ I'm pretty new to tarot. I've had two readings in the past by others professionally, but I'm not very experienced. I skirted around the idea of buying my own deck for a while, even playing around with a deck of cards as a substitute, but finally brought two decks last week. I often can't see the wood for the trees so I like to use them as prompts to see things I may be missing and to get me out of my head. Still getting used to the cards and learning to read them. Hope to learn lots while I'm here :)

Hello new friends! In my tarot journey, I am going by Epsilon and I use she/her/hers pronouns. I chose Epsilon as my username because I am a math PhD student and Greek letters like epsilon and delta remind me of math! I've been learning to read tarot for two weeks now, after feeling drawn to purchase a deck at the start of the new year. When I was in middle school I also had a (different) tarot deck but never built a habit of reading. My deck is the Linestrider Tarot deck and I've been resisting purchasing another pretty deck (or a standard deck for learning) as I get to know this one and the system as a whole. I found this site while searching the web for advice an…

I picked up a Tarot deck for the first time a year and a half ago when I was 51. Things like Tarot cards had never been on my radar, but I was critiquing a story that featured them, and I suddenly felt compelled to learn the cards. Like, I was obsessed. I learned the Rider-Waite cards and basic spreads in a few months, just in time to help me foresee and cope with the death of my 86 year-old mother, whom I was caregiving in my home at the time. If I hadn't been pulling the cards to have a heads-up, my mom's last hours would not have been pretty. I truly credit the Tarot (and Saturn Celeste - she helped me learn so much) for providing my mother with a love-filled passing. …

Hi! I’m Kerry, 34 and born and raised in Houston, Texas. I've been studying Tarot for almost a year. My divination journey itself began over three years ago when I began studying I Ching. I find both to be such amazing tools for self-discovery, development, and empowerment. I still consider myself a beginner. I'm terrified to read for anyone besides myself and my best friend. :-[ However, since reading 78 Degrees of Wisdom and seeing Jung's theories applied, my understanding deepens with each reading. I have a bit of an obsession with esoteric knowledge and exploring my own spirituality. Being raised with no religious guidance is both a blessing and a curs…

Hello, I just recently started studying the tarot and started with the golden Dawn's opening of the keys and working with Crowley's Thoth deck. I also have a rider-waite, but haven't worked with it much yet. I absolutely love tarot and it's been really helpful to my understanding of spirtuality as a symbolic narrative. By reading tarot we become our own myth-weavers. That was pretty dense for an introduction, but I've always been bad at small talk. I look forward to learning here -MM

Hi, I'm Lizzie, I've been watching and reading this forum for a while now, it is time to sign up. I've been using my cards for a good year, but I'd still consider myself a beginner really. Looking forward to joining in and be a bit more active here on the forum.

I'm super new to tarot (just started reading about it a few months ago), and so far I've been learning completely in isolation. I'm a city girl who is temporarily living in an isolated suburban sprawl, so I've been having trouble finding people with similar interests. I'm at a point in my life where I'm increasingly interested in experiencing different ways of thinking and being. I was surprised to find a corner of the internet where people seem positive (you know how most forums are), so I decided to sign up here! X/

I was fortunate enough to find this forum by a Google search of looking for a tarot forum, since there don't appear to be many good ones. I'm a semi-professional reader and amateur astrologer. I'm also big into sports, so I definitely cross divination and one of my biggest interests. Hopefully I can meet with a few others who may be card-reading sports fans as well, no matter your team! I look forward to contributing to the community here!

Hello all! I’m a very amateur tarot reader and I’m sure have developed bad habits, but I’m here to learn, and am glad to see that this looks like a very active and friendly community. I hesitate to give much advice or readings to others but still hope to participate in a beneficial way. Happy new year! (Almost...)

So, for sake of not being found out by my very religious, Evangelical parents, my name is Ruby or Jade, which ever you prefer I respond to each. I am somewhat new to Tarot Decks, given I have only used mine that a good friend bought and gave me as a birthday gift about a 2 years ago. I'm still in the process of filling out my profile so bare with me, as I have college on the side of this and work, Tarot is just a hobby of mine that my friends like to help me with by asking simple questions. Ranging from 'If I continue on this path of degree choice what will happen?' to 'I need to know what to be on the look out for today?' I was lucky and have another friend, David, wh…

Hello everyone! You can call me green or tea, I don't mind. X/ I'm new to tarot and spirituality, but I'm interested in learning more about them. I want to be more open with myself and others to learn and grow. I'm interested in finding out what others have learned on their journeys and what advice they have to offer. I also want to be a part of community and I hope I can grow into this one! I look forward to meeting everyone :)

I'm new to the forum. Used to spend some time on another forum, but just yesterday found that one is no longer active. I love tarot, and I have a number of decks, but i don't know much about them. I use them to read for myself, and have dne readings for others but I am not confident at all. I would like to become more active with tarot and make some new friends. I would love to grow some confidence. And I would enjoy doing a little more with LeNormond. I started many years ago secretly as a teenager with the Aquarian Tarot. My favorite decks right now are two: Hanson Roberts and the Considerate Cat. I have 25+ decks right now. ~Shanachie05

Hi there! I’ve been reading tarot for a few years now, but slowly. I’ve read for others for the past 4 years, but just friends and family. I’ve taken a couple of tarot courses online, but I’m trying to work with tarot as a daily habit this year. I look forward to learning with you all! :)

I haven't been on the forum for long, and when I signed up I didn't know I would get so much out of it and I picked a username without any thought. I chose Crowleyreader because I had a Thoth deck sitting in front of me. Since then, I bought the Shadowscapes deck which I really love, and my old username was redundant and misleading. Today I went to the river to bathe and wash away the crap from 2018 and while I was floating (I am really good at floating) I chose the name Anouk for my rebirth. I don't know why, it just came to me. Anyway, that's the name I am going with. So here I am. I am pretty new to the whole tarot thing, despite having that Thoth deck for …

Hello everyone, I am theoijonitamat, nice to meet all of you! I enjoy and love how tarot and oracle can be use as a medium to bring through messages from Source to help people. It is one of the reasons why i love tarot and oracle decks, the other is the beautiful pictures and visualisations. Other than tarot and oracle intuitive work that i do, i enjoy working with herbs, doing aromatherapy, holistic healing, and having fun! <3 So much loves to all of you! See you guys on the forum!

Greetings everyone, I have been reading tarot for several years, and learnt a tremendous amount by following various conversations online. This, however, is my first time joining a community of people all interested in tarot. I am excited to contribute as best I can, and perhaps even develop my voice in the process. I know, meanwhile, that my own hopes, fears, and anxieties can prevent me from "hearing" every part of the communication each time I do a reading, and that I will appreciate the perspectives of everyone here. I thank everyone for your patience as I take in the workings of this forum - both technologically (which has never been my forte) and in terms of …
