Are there any good tarot magazines on the market either e-mags or old-skool on the newsagent's shelf? I've managed to find one good one ... The Cartomancer which what it lacked in content (i read it cover-to-cover in under an hour) made up for in quality. The articles were very pro, interesting, & made me really think....well worth $5. From what I can tell, there seemed to be a lot of tarot mags out there, but a lot of them have closed. But if anyone knows of any that are running now I'd like to hear from you. Many thanks.

After reading 'Your 'Go to' deck' thread I'm wondering if people have decks they haven't read with but would really like to get round to properly using them. I'd have to say the Dark Goddess and Tarot of the Crone. And, going off-topic on my own thread, but a deck I started using and didn't get very far with is the Dreampower, I do wish I'd just left the uninspiring minors in the box and carried on working with the lovely majors, they were the first cards I felt an intuitive connection with, but it was in the early days of me reading tarot and the thought of dumping most of the deck didn't occur to me 🙄 You live and learn! (I also want …

This is probably a difficult question as you may have lots you like. But there must be one that is an all time favourite. My one is the 10 of Cups from the legacy of the Divine tarot. It is so heartwarming and beautiful, l smile whenever it comes up for me and my sitters.

Hello - I am taking my first course in reading the tarot cards - what I am finding very confusing and frustrating is when I am asked to determine what a tarot card means (ex six of pentacles) without previously learning the meaning of the card... in other words using my intuition. This seems like a backward way of trying to learn tarot as I believe you need to learn the meanings of the cards first and then add the intuition in after that. I have tried to lay out all the major arcana and see a flow between cards but I don't see anything as I do not know what the cards represent. Am I right to want to learn the meanings first? I have talked to a couple of people who are…

I have met a new friend who is into different things such as tarot. I did her first reading on her and she seemed to love it. We have decided to work on our spirituality and work on developing our gifts. I want to gift her a tarot deck. I want to get her the raider wait one so she can learn the symbolism. I don’t get payed for another couple weeks. Can I let her use my deck until I get hers?? As long as I cleanse it and she does when she uses it? I have other decks that I currently use. Hi Tarot friends... X/ This may have been asked previously. And, this isn't me asking the question, so I don't want to appear rude or narrow minded, it's some of my sceptical friends and family. And although my answer is always "They don't, but I understand my situations better because they ask me to use my instincts to guide me". However.... most are unsatisfied with my response and I wondered, is there a better way to explain that when I (or someone else) needs guidance on what energies surround me/them etc., etc., how is a random card selected. Who decided to select that particular card, me, my unknowing subconscious mind, my spirit guide, the universe or was it…

I just nabbed Cassandra Snow's Queering the Tarot and Rachel Pollack's Tarot Wisdom, but I was wondering if anyone was aware of other books that might suit (ha!) a queer, intuitive reader who's into diverse decks? I'm much less interested in the history of tarot than I am in new and experimental takes on it, new ways of looking at the cards and steering clear of rigid interpretations... That sort of thing. Bonus points if the recommended book/s come as ebooks, since physical disability makes handling paperbacks difficult these days!

Not sure if this the proper place to ask this question. Beginner here. Can you use the tarot for insight into another person? For example, I wanted to see what the cards would show if I asked about my mother. I was vague in the question. The cards I pulled don't represent her at all, but wondering if the cards actually reflected what I needed to relate to my mother. Just curious.

Good Evening Family, I just finished trying out doing a reading on myself for the second time. The first was--laughable. I realized half-way through "reading" the cards I had accidentally shuffled the wrong way so half the cards were reversed... but I gave it a shot any way! Tonight, though--wow! I came home after a meeting that could bring major changes in my life. I was feeling conflicting emotions than I had after previous meetings and the need to just go home and do a reading kept pressing me. So, I did. I think that humility in need for Guidance as felt. What I read made SO much sense, and not in a "say-what-you-want-to-hear" sense. And after all …

I just finished a reading for a friend and it was powerful, to say the least. The energy that I was getting from the cards had my hands shaking, and it was good energy. I have never experienced a reading that powerful or that clear before. I can't disclose any info on the reading itself out of courtesy to them, but wow. Has anyone else had readings like that? A reading where you could honestly almost see the energy the cards were throwing off and have them speak to you so clearly and so loudly it was as if they had become part of you?

Hi everyone! Besides being a tarot enthusiast, I am also a board game geek and wanted to share a cute little discovery of mine... I came across this simple game called "Shahrazad", which is supposed to be about fairy tales from around the world. But the names of the 22 tiles (visible through the link below) more than rings a bell for you and me ;) https://boardgamegeek.com/image/3855430/shahrazad I thought that if there are other tarotistas who like board games around, they might be interested! It's a very simple game where you have to lay the tiles one after the other in a certain way so as to score as many points as possible. It's also one of those little gam…

I’m terrible when it comes to reading on a regular basis and knowing what sort of questions to ask so I searched for some tarot prompts and found this! I really like how these questions are phrased, so I’ll likely try to do a few of them. If anyone else tries them too let me know how it goes and I’ll pass the love along to the original creator of this prompt list!

see posts #4 and #5 for up to date lists Rather than carry a big box of a dozen or more decks when we travel for months, I'm creating a Rogue Deck. To carry one deck with cards from 78 different decks. Printed out so they are all the same size, cohesive and easy to shuffle. Except I have 46 decks, leaving me short 32 cards. This is what a printed out sheet looks like I have a system for cutting so they all come out the same size.

Hello! I hope that this is the right place to post something like this, but does anyone have any advice on pursuing tarot as more than a hobby? This is by no means advertisement for a buisness, but more so for tips and tricks for people who are branching out in their tarot reading adventures! I am no where near this point at all, but I wanted to ask somethings for people who sell tarot services. Specifically ones who sell online! I was curious if people have preferences/experiences using things such as Etsy or Ko-fi. Any tips as well? Finally, I wanted to make sure that if I do pursue something like this, that I know the legal matters involved! I live in New York st…

So far she's covered - based on Katrina Wynne's book Transformative Tarot Counselling Eden Gray's for reading cards for prediction It's a great series and well worth watching. :)

Each tarot card is in its essence, a living Being. Tarot cards are breathing a lucid beauty representing the book of our souls. The first 22 cards, 0-21, all represent the stages of our lives. But I wonder, if when ever one chooses to see as the time Tarot really started, lets say 700 years as an example, if there may have more distractions than there are now. I would imagine mere survival, having one meal, is far more a necessity than a text is now. I say this because to me, a lot of what the Tarot is all about is the attainment of the complete I AM. Was tarot all about achieving balance and harmony 700 years ago the way some of us may see it now.

A question came up this morning for me. Is the Fools journey based on an impulse in which he decided to up and go on an adventure. Of the many definitions it appears it could be an impulsive journey to discover his light, or maybe not. I would love to know others views. I may not be able to respond right away myself.

Hi all. X/ I wonder how you flip the cards when you read? Of course - if you don't use reversals it doesn't matter - but if you do, I think it's very important how you flip the cards. I've seen people flip them so that the bottom of the card becomes the top. It's not how they were placed in the deck before flipping, but the very opposite. I think this is dangerous and wrong - especially if you read for others. When I read using reversals, I make sure the cards ends up the same way as they were in the deck before flipping. It means I flip them sideways. In my opinion this is very important.

It is the only card I know like the back of my hand and one I identify with on a personal level. I am a scorpio rising and venus so transformation is definitely my thing. Though I like it because I know it, I hate the after math of it. It is usually accompanied by hurt or loss as that is when I have to transform the situation and myself. I have to rebuild from the beginning, did I mention I had scorpio placements? I HATE letting go lol
