So, I had some Amazon vouchers and had been going to buy my son's birthday present with them, but the price went up and I bought it elsewhere. So now I'm thinking I can buy something for myself. There's a book I'm definitely getting, but I could also get a tarot or oracle deck. These are the ones currently on my wish list: Burning Serpent Lenormand Wild Unknown Animal Spirit deck Dreaming Way Lenormand Spiritsong Tarot Zillich Tarot The Illuminated Tarot (Caitlin Keegan) Wild Unknown Tarot Ostara Tarot I'm being very indecisive as I'm unlikely to be able to buy another deck for a while! Can anyone give pros and cons for any of these?

Is anybody familiar with the Fantasy Creatures Tarot? That deck has utterly smitten me but information regarding it is rather scarce. All I know is that it was created by the Russian artist Vera Petruk AKA Samiramay. It pops up in many stock photo websites, but I don't know if it has been released as an actual physical deck like her Old Memories Tarot. While I do enjoy the art, it is the attribution of monsters/deities/fantastical creatures to each Tarot card that makes the deck so awesome for me. I'm going to post some (watermarked) images so that you'd have an idea.

For anyone that has been or may be interested in the Sakki Sakki Tarot and companion book Playing with Symbols, you can get on the inside track here for a link to be emailed to you for preorder. It says the decks will be available February 15. Once you provide sign up, you will receive an email to a video where she shares her creative process. She shares in this updated release there will be heads on the images, some color changes, and extra cards. The book will have two additional chapters, if I am remembering correctly. Here is the link to her website: https://sakki-sakki.com This is from the forum Deck Library.

I love bordeless decks ^-^ The Little Prince Tarot. Cute. Also the Sola Busca with book :bugeyed: And more

Does anyone have or have any experience with the American Renaissance Tarot? Being a bookish person, I am drawn to this tarot, though it seems it would be more of a personal reading deck than one used for others.

I'm just curious. Do you have any decks that are only locally available? Like it can only be purchased in your country for various reasons. Maybe because it's written in the vernacular, or it's a limited edition item that the publisher is not interested in exporting, or because its theme/s is/are very specific to your country. Pics are very much welcome.

Saw this deck on Kickstarter this morning. Don't know that I'll pick it up, but it looks fun. Good for people who like the meanings on the cards. Is it wrong that I thought they'd also make cute coasters? :D

Looking for a happy fun loud anime or cartoonish deck with fantasy dragons and unicorns. And fairies and elementals. So simple it’s right On. Also beautiful art work but in your face...does anyone have any ideas.?

So I discovered this deck in a post on the Facebook Tarot Marketplace group. It was already sold, but it sent me into a rabbit hole that yielded very few results. A post on the Tarot collectors Forum: http://www.tarotcollectors.com/view_topic.php?id=3347&forum_id=4 A brief mention in these hallowed forums: And a few YouTube walkthroughs. And, well, this is the deck's very own website: http://www.serpentandthepeacock.com/ That's it. Basically, almost no one seems to have heard of this deck. Ever. I did order it, together with the book, and they arrived yesterday, wonderfully packed, and with a bo…

A KS deck I didn't notice, which has a very spare, monsters and beings theme, is available for purchase from the artist's site: https://www.sarakathleen.co.uk/product-page/everybody-s-tarot Very high contrast, RWS-themed, includes a booster pack of 20 additional cards which are oracle-type. This is a super cute deck, I think I'll be grabbing a copy. In the UK, too!

I'm always a day late and a dollar short, as the saying goes, but we're on "skunk watch" so I was just quietly surfing around on Amazon and ran across two decks I couldn't talk myself out of. After arguing with myself that I don't need any more decks and oh yes I do need just two more I finally ordered them and they're due to be here on Tuesday. One is the Arcane Tarot and the other is the Grim Tale Tarot. I absolutely have to have these two new decks! The Arcane and the Grim Tales are very necessary to carry me through the ordeal of the skunk watch and the moving of three houses. Anyway, does anyone else have these decks? If so, what do you th…

Today I received the Asherah, which has been in progress for many years. It's influenced by the Thoth, but has kept some Golden Dawn attributes (like Judgement as card 20 instead of Aeon). Does its own thing in places too - like female Hermit and Chariotess. I like her description of Empress and Emperor as solar feminine and masculine, Priestess and Hierophant as lunar feminine and masculine. Came quickly from Game Crafter. Nice stock for me; it's thin and whippy, but feels durable and... I guess supple is the word. The not-so-white lwb that comes with it has good info. The deck is the large size from GC, and isn't cheap. Cheaper poker size due out at the end of the ye…

I bought several decks, but when I do a reading on them I just go back and look at the Rider Waite. For a newbie would you recommend starting out with a Rider Waite or just grabbing a deck you find aesthetically pleasing?

Hi guys, I’m very new to all of this!! So please help me out. I’m dating a girl I really care about and she’s expressed on a number of occasions that she would love her own tarot cards. She’s very conscious and spiritual, I am starting to dip my toes in but I’m really inexperienced. I want to buy her, her first tarot cards I just have no idea what I’m doing or where to start. Ideally I would like the pack to be special/ beautiful. I’m not sure if that’s a thing (please excuse any ignorance on my part). Advice and suggestions are all so welcome! Thanks in advance.

Has anyone heard of Tarocco Studio? I'd love to hear if anyone has purchased any of his decks. I've tried searching here and on another forum, but haven't come across much info. https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TaroccoStudio?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=524297556§ion_id=1 There are several tarot and lenormand decks available. They look beautiful, but I want to see what others think before I hit the 'buy now' button😄. Thank you! 🙂

Some of us paid for the whole deck years and years ago. We got the major arcana and a few minor cards. The deck was coming out so slowly that I doubted I live the day to see it in its 78 cards version. Did you got all the cards? Because I came across this on her website: Which means that the deck IS or WILL BE finished very soon.

Does anybody have the Sinking Wasteland Tarot? What do you think about it? Do you use it often, and would you recommend it? At first I didn't really take to it, since I just wasn't enamored of the deck's artistic style. It has really grown on me tho. I like its gothy apocalyptic vibe, and tho it's RWS-based, I admire how creative its takes on it are. Btw, HERE are images of the cards in the deck's website.

Does anybody here work with the Vice Versa Tarot? How does it handle, and how did you find it? More importantly, how do you work with it? How do you know which piles to pick for example, if you can see images in the front and back? I think I should fan it and choose the cards from thence instead of cutting the deck and stacking the different piles since you'd see the topmost cards in the latter. Also, when you pick a card, do you still flip it over as you would a deck with normal backs or do you let it stay as it is? I'm inclined to favor the latter tbh. One last thing. I've got the kit and it's scheduled to be delivered this week (yay!). Anyway, I read reversals, …

I'm not entirely certain that this is the right sub-forum for this post, so I apologise in advance if the mods need to move it. But this is a topic that's been on my mind a lot lately, and I've discussed it with the few tarot readers I know in real life, and would really like to know what more of the community thinks about it. I'm also not trying to start any kind of drama or controversy, so please know that nothing I say is meant to offend anyone. I just genuinely want to discuss this. So: here's the debate I've been having. On the one hand, nearly any tarot card can be interpreted as 'good' or 'bad', depending on the context. We all roll our eyes whenever some B-m…

I really feel like this is an underrated deck in the community! The first edition, so the borderless one in the images, is out of print, but the second is still available (I believe?) It's such a pretty, cosmic deck! The second edition has a cool feature where some areas are glossed, so as you turn the cards, bits shine out!

Hi guys, I haven't see a thread like this with the advanced search, and I wanted to identify a Tarot Deck. Maybe this thread could be used every time we want to identify a Tarot deck based only on a picture or a description. Anyway, here is the deck that I want to know the name: I'm 100% sure that it's from Lo Scarabeo, and I saw reviews of it before, but I wasn't drawn to it in the past and never noted the deck's name. Recently, I saw this image in a book (Tarot Experiences by Lo Scarabeo) but could not find any reference to the name of the deck. Can you help me with this? Thanks in advance!

Hey all! I need help picking a deck So far I have been working with RWS clones- The Robin Wood tarot is my main one the Llywellyn Tarot is my 2nd one- I have recently bonded with her and started getting nice results. I am looking to slightly broaden my horizons and start moving away from the pure clones- However, so far once a card doesn't fit the original meaning It baffles me - however I do want to move past it by finding a deck which is a comfortable transition- having some elements from the RWS while moving a bit away from it in a not aggressive way. Things I like: Nature themes Mythology- mostly nature oriented/ fantasy - but not over the top.…

One recent Tarot deck that has gone unnoticed, and unjustifiably so, in my opinion, is that of the surrealist artist Maurice Baskine, Le Tarot de la Conscience [The Tarot of Consciousness]. This was recently rediscovered and published in France, along with Baskine’s text as a LWB. (There are a few pictures online, but not many.) Baskine had a strong interest in alchemy, astrology and Jewish mysticism, notably, and also produced some illustrations for André Breton’s Arcane 17, a work itself inspired by the Tarot. At the time, his deck and the manuscript for his booklet were favourably mentioned by a number of prominent writers, and we find the following praise …

I've just discovered this deck by Tomas Hijo! I need to know more! It looks like it's inspired by Guillermo del Toro. I've always been fascinated by the creatures he creates. Does anyone know more about it? Got pics?
