Who else uses RWD? Also what books do you use to look up the meeting of the cards. Does anyone use the Irene Gad and Jana Riley books Thank you!

This may not be the best place for this, but wasn't sure which forum to use. I am very much a beginner, but have started doing a daily tarot card pull to work and learn the card I pull. I have RWS deck. Today I pulled the Tower and was sitting in the energy of it. I believe the the astrological planet for the Tower is Mars, but when sitting with the energy of it. I thought of Mars conjunct Uranus. This conjunction can lead to an explosion - shift in identity. Just curious if anyone else has made that association or if I am way off.

Hello everyone, I've been contemplating on doing this for some time now but I did a spread on the love spell Im intending to do later today. I got the Ace of Cups as a lone card with the Hermit as the shadow card. I shuffled again and got the Tower, Ace of Pentacles and Three of Wands. The 10 of Swords is the shadow card this time. Will the love spell work then quickly crash?

hey everyone! I hope you're doing good! for the past few months I have tried to dive deeper into Waite's original meanings for the RWS Tarot. so, of course, I decided to start by reading the Pictorial Key to the Tarot... however, I soon ran into two obstacles. first things first, I am not a native English speaker – and Waite's writing style is pretty famous for being complex. so his book is pretty hard to decipher for me in the first place. secondly, I have no knowledge of esoteric subjects such as Kabbalah, astrology, and the like. these things make it really difficult for me to grasp the contents of the PKT. but I also don't want to g…

I got my first RWS Deck back in 1996 and while I still have the cards (wrapped in dark silk and kept in a wooden box), I have lost the original box and LWB. I have the miniature version included in the Universal Waite miniature deck in a tin and was wondering if it is the same. I've got a copy of 'The Key to the Tarot' by Waite with a forward by Liz Greene and can see the texts are derived from the same source. Are the original versions likely to be online to be online somewhere? The reason I want it is to do a video recap of my introduction to the cards.

Okay, the Pictorial Key To The Tarot seems to wedge 0 - (the fool), between XX(last judgement) and XXI(The World). Wedging the Fool in that place seems... I don't know... it's not arbitrary, I mean the idea that the fool is caught between Judgement and The World seems quite poetic on some level, but it just feels 'forced'. Does anyone have any thoughts why he did this?

Hey all. I'm new here. I've been reading tarots for a few years now. I'm currently in a relationship crisis...I won't go into details but I've been turning to tarot for guidance. Something about reading tarots for yourself while you're going through a difficult time... it makes you question the cards yourself and it is hard to separate myself from the situation to read the cards as they are. Wondering if anyone has further insight on this read? I asked: HOW will *name* and I be together again? The cards that flew from the deck are: 2 of cups followed by The Magician At the bottom of the deck: King of pentacles (interestingly the person I'm askin…

Hey. I am unexperienced tarot reader for now, and last rime I was doing a tarot reading for myself. So to give a little of a context, I have a crush and he gave me signals that he liked me, but we did not had a lot of opportunities to meet often. Now I dont see him at all and I tried manifesting him, sadly, unsuccsesfully (yet😉). I asked my tarot cards why my manifestations are not coming true and the answer was queen of wands. I dont understand how to interprent it. Can someone explain it to me?

I have an RWS checklist. Is that silly? - No copyright - Liveable colors - Shuffles well - Doesn't sanitize the details - Not a computer typeface - Pixie's sig present I can only think of one currently-available (non-vintage) deck that checks each box: The Original Tarot by Da Brigh. The Centinneal gets a lot of love, but I find the colors too dark, and it has a copyright. I am currently rocking the Premium Tarot von A.E. Waite from AGM... but it doesn't check box 5: Typeface.

Greetings, I made a promise to show a pic of the back of the German pressing of the RWS premium edition, and I cannot locate that chat. So Here's a fresh post and I hope all who desire to see it find the path. My personal deck is on the left, it is the Centennial edition, standard size. On the right is also a standard, and it is my brand new from across-the-pond A.E. Waite Premium copy, which will be for clients only. Quite a difference, isn't there? Which do you prefer?

I had this idea to start this thread for anyone who is brand new to Tarot and learning from the Rider Waite. If you have any insights on the Rider Waite Smith deck and/or helpful tips for reading and understanding the cards, please share them here? 😊 Welcome all, and here we go.... I love how the more I learn about this deck, the more I also learn about myself. Anyone else experiencing this? I used to feel that my logical mind was causing me to place intuitive blocks on myself. But I'm learning that isn't true at all. Turns out I'm much more intuitive than I thought I was, using it in pretty much every situation.

Hello, I am new to the forum so I am not sure if there is another part of the forum that is much more fitting to post this thread: please bear with me. For a while now, I have been looking for a particular tarot deck. As the title implies I am looking for the Lovers' Tarot by Jane Lyle. I have looked online as to where I could possibly purchase the deck but to no avail; I could not find a seller. The question I have now is: Is this deck no longer in print? Any information on this deck, or a definitive answer to this question, is greatly appreciated. Blessings and best wishes to you all.

Hey y'all! I was curious to what some of your interpretations of this mural/painting in the card is. It looks like a castle/lighthouse on a shore. The border is like a black and white chess board pattern. It's also located behind the old man's head, as well as by the three pentacles that would represents the Pillar of Severity on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. Personally, one way I saw it was all the established wealth in this card was just originally a dream or fantasy. The older man had to have drive and patience to get his desired outcome. It's possible that his original idea of wealth and legacy didn't play out or manifest in the way he thought it would, but r…

I have always loved tarot cards and having my tarot read, but never practised it myself until recently and wow, I have not been disappointed. My readings have been so incredibly accurate and I am enjoying every minute of it. I am creating a guidebook for myself with meanings and keywords. Another thing I would like to learn is letters that may appear in the shapes on each card. The psychic I see as well as a workmate practising tarot can both easily see letters in each of the cards. So for example, on The Fool card, I can see the letter "C" in his right arm and the letter "A" with his legs/the mountain. I was wondering if anyone ha…

A lot of RWS cards are badly explained on the net. Feel free to post about that here! We'll start with the 8 of Pentacles. Andy's mentioned this before, and it's been on my mind: There's a man chiseling pentacles, much the way somebody might create a popular item again and again for their etsy shop. All the pentacles appear to be done correctly. There is no indication of another person on the card. So where are people getting "apprentice"? A google search on "8 of pentacles apprentice" returns 42,100 results. But there is no visual evidence of this. Waite says "An artist in stone at his work, which he exhibits in the form of t…

I am always curious why someone has a type they prefer, or only use. I am definitely an RWS Crone. I know the reasons why. * Started with an RWS deck, so now it's just familiar * I'm visual (in other words, I like there are illustrated images that correspond to each card) * TdM decks I find BEAUTIFUL, but the pips don't inspire me to read with them To be honest, I haven't even approached the Thoth, probably for the same reason I didn't pursue the TdM very vigorously. I'm happy with the RWS decks I have and like reading with them. KUDOS to all who are "multi-lingual" when it comes to switching effortlessly between RWS, TdM and Thoth. So...if you are…
