Hi everyone, I recently met with a reader in my city for a workshop that was all about the basics of tarot & toward the end of the workshop she pulled a Celtic Cross spread for me so we could apply everything discussed to the reading. One of the cards pulled was the Queen of Wands. I expressed my frustration with this card as I had been pulling her A LOT recently & couldn't figure her out. I really liked her explanation & would love to hear what others have to say about this mysterious lady! We used the Rider-Waite deck. When I said I couldn't figure this particular Queen out (I've most often identified as the Queen of Swords over all o…

So about a week ago I asked one of my coworkers if I could pull cards for him. I told him that I had been studying Tarot and would like to practice with him, he didn’t say no. But he didn’t say yes all he said was he had never gotten a Tarot reading done before. He went off to do some work and while he was gone I went and asked my cards if he would let me pull for him. I got the hermit, after almost an hour later he came back and asked me if I would pull cards for him. I agreed but I was shocked, because when I pulled the hermit I instantly thought no he wasn’t going to let me pull for him. The hermit to me is about isolation, withdrawal, retreating, and separating yourse…

I was flipping around the internet the other day, and I found this flash card thing with tarot...(it looks like someones project)? I haven't looked at it real close...I will post it, and maybe someone can figure out if its helpful at all...(it looks like it might help get some of the traditional meanings down for the cards)... https://quizlet.com/212976251/the-hanson-roberts-tarot-flash-cards

Hi! I’m new here and just wondering if someone can help me to clarify the meaning of the queen of cups reversed. I pull a daily card and also a daily advice card from my deck.. Yesterday BOTH cards I pulled were the queen of cups reversed and then today I pulled the queen of cups as my first card again!! This must be some kind of sign and I am wondering if anyone can explain to me what this means to pull this card over and over again? Thank you so much in advance!!! :heartz:

Hello! Something I've been wondering when doing tarot readings is how other people may translate the cards! I know that each card tends to have a basic meaning that is used over all decks, but do some decks change the meaning? I'm an artist, so I like to find meaning in the images on the cards and what they may represent. So when I use different decks with different artwork, sometimes I feel the meaning may vary slightly. Have other people also felt this way? Is there any advice for translating cards from different decks? Thank you for your time!

Hi all X/ I've done some thinking. I wrote another place here about corruption being something that possible has to do with a snake, but after some reflections I found out that my initial thought was wrong and that it belongs to the tarot card The Moon. From www.learntarot.com one can learn that some keywords for The Moon is "illusions", "accepting a false picture" and "bewilderment". Corruption is another keyword I will add to that. It gets protected by making a false picture, it makes us live in an illusion and in the word bewilderment is the word wild - which makes me think of the wild, howling wolf - and that corrupted people only follows the law of wild …

Hi all I've just got this revelation around the tarot card 8 of cups - especially the image from Rider Waite. At the website www.learntarot.com one can find the keywords for the card to be Deeper Meaning - Moving On - Weariness. I saw myself as a deep water fish - communicating with light. I have a ladyfriend who asks me every time I struggle if she should light a candle for me, and strange enough it helps. The Salvation Army has a christmas donation show on TV the name "A light in the dark". I thought it just was an expression about hope, but now I believe it's also actually about lighting a candle in a dark room. I did a Tarot Shadow Work (book by Christi…

Hi everyone X/ Every time I try to do a tarot reading and pick the card The Moon, I get this thought saying "protection". It has happened several times. Is it some truth in this or am I way off? :-\

On traditional TdM cards, the Judgement Card, most every one, has the man and woman, the man looking up to the angel and there's the third figure with its back to us. I myself have never really been able to figure this third image out. Is it the couples baby? Is it a soul? Their soul? Is it a dead soul rising out of a coffin to help, ascending up to the angel? In some decks its blue, some flesh colored, some pale white. I know there is no one absolute answer to this, but I am curious what other readers may feel about this third figure. I myself am honestly having a hard time reading this particular figure. Thank you.
