what your experiences/meanings are with it! I was reading something recently, and it's about math and linguistics and very out of my league (Bertrand Russell), but when I was trying to understand "double negation" I thought of some of the things I read about the fool reversed. I don't even know if this card could be reasonably tied in with that theory, I don't even understand it yet, but it just keeps speaking to me, somehow I think it's beautiful. I have no idea yet if I'm interpreting the theory correctly yet, maybe it'll take some months and I'll come back with "aha!" but I think it's linguistically: "It's not the case that it is not raining." Which reminde…

Hi everyone, what could mean the 3 of Cups as how to deal with anxiety? Maybe sharing how you're feeling with your loved ones? Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm going through the deck, comparing the cards to the RW. Mostly all the cards in the Volatile decks are traditional to the RW. But 8 of Wands , and the alternative card isn't. Volatile has the 8 of wands with an eulye ball in the clouds with 8 wands coming out idle the clouds, down to the ground. I suppose the RW is the same after writing this out. Pointed down. But the alternative Volatile 8 of wands has the more Magdeline look, with a crown of thorns and 8 wands appears growing out if the head. I don't get it because it doesn't fix the traditionally meaning for the 8 of wands; haste, speed, action, gaining momentum. I guess thorns growin…

Here is another strange depiction of the RW 9 of wands. In the RW we have a gentleman standing in front of 8 wands and then holding a wand. In the Volatile deck is a human head on an animal body. A centaur with 9 wands behind him. I know the deck was created from antique plates- but why the centaur for the 9 of wands?

  6. Strength8

Hi, How do you differentiate between these two in your readings? Or how have they shown up or panned out in your readings? Both are holding on to one wand only, so potentially one choice has been made, leaving behind one or other two. Then, I think about if two of cups is a choice or even lovers being read as a choice, then do we use these wands cards for choices too? If three of wands is waiting for results (looking at ships) or sending ships off to progress, then is two of wands about getting ready to take that one step in the vast sea? On has turned his back (I only use RWS so only speaking for that deck) and other is standing sideways but…

Hey! I'm a tarot newbie and every time I get the The Hanged Man in reversed I get a bit confused. Since I'm new, I only know the very basics of the meanings. I know it means missing an opportunity, refusing change, detachment, and stagnation. I typically only get it as a clarifying card but I just simply can't connect with it. If anyone could give me a more detailed explanation for this card, I would greatly appreciate it!! for reference i use Modern Witch Tarot and the card being called "Hanged One"

Hey guys 😊 right now I’m struggling a bit with understanding the differences between Death and Tower. From what I have in my notes so far, death is (other than the tower, where the change happens out of the blue) a change/ending that was foreseeable (natural?) in one way or another. Maybe even a change that you bring forward yourself or anticipate sometimes? Or is it always about grieve (at least for a moment)? Would you say Death always involves the new beginning as well? The Tower is more shocking (?). Maybe it changes everything while the death is more about one single thing ending? What about change of facts vs change …

I see there was an earlier thread in 2021, comparing Justice, Judgement and Temperance, which was interesting as I never saw Temperance as having much to do with the concept of either Justice or Judgement, but rather more akin to Strength—self-control, etc. It was interesting to think about the three cards as having connections after all. However, I do struggle at times between Justice and Judgement. For example, if we got the upright Justice card in a Celtic Cross spread, in the position of 'what is about to happen next, in the near future,' I would be inclined to think there will be an issue that will receive fair treatment (as opposed to if the Justice card…

Hi all! Hope this is in the right section! I wonder about the Judgment card. I have read so many confusing and different meanings of this card and it's so hard to understand what it tries to say. I know it could mean that something has already come to an end, it's done, no way it can be revived and there is a lesson to be learned from it. But I have also had this card in three card spreads that I did multiple times for a specific question (I know .. one question done multiple times is not probably a good idea). I tried to ask for clarifiers and got ace of wands on one occasion and ace of pentacles on another. So I guess the question is …

How would you interpret the moon as an external influence, for example in the celtic cross spread? I've recently gotten it twice in this potition in regards to relationship questions. I know the moon can mean that you might not be seeing things clearly or be delusional about the situation. But as an external influence I'm struggling.

Hello, This guy seems pretty satisfied and has cups (filled or otherwise) neatly lined up behind him with no other "distraction" around him. I don't grasp the full meaning especially if it shows up 1. as an obstacle or barrier 2. as an advice 3. next step 4. something to leave behind 5. feelings and so on What has been your experience with this card? if you use reversals, then how does that change the meaning for 9 of cups? thanks for your time!

I have problems with the three of swords being called Jealosy or other emotional feelings that I would put more as a cups type of feeling. I learned that the Threes ( in Kabbalah) are higher up and as swords more in the thought , mind rather than feelings. I think of it as having to choose from two hearts desires as you may not be able to have both. Such as torn between music or medicine as a career when you love both but just one will take all your time. What do you think of using a one word label for a card.

Hi everyone, what can mean the Queen of Pentacles in terms of feelings? I see this lady as someone very nurturing who takes care of their loved ones, a very committed and reliable person, so perhaps as feelings this card means loving someone in this way? What do you think? Thank you.

The Empress came up for someone in a health reading. I had read somewhere that the Empress symbolized cardiovascular issues which seems to be on point for him as he is having issues with varicose veins which is a bit unusual for men in general; usually more common in women. However, I got to thinking the Empress is a nurturing type, bountiful and reproductive. it made me wonder if it could also be symbolic of the reproductive system or reproductive hormones, estrogen and progesterone in women and associated with menopause, hot flashes, menstrual disorders, etc., and in men low testosterone and its associated issues, erectile dysfunction, low energy, depression, etc.…

So, I'm here manning the Cosmic Command Post. I didn't have a real question to hand, and I didn't want to dissipate the energy I've got going with my main deck with practice questions, so I got out an RWS just to see what I can see... you know, bear-went-over-the-mountain stuff, nothing at stake. (It said I will receive some money recently.) Anyway... My glance fell across the 6 of Cups. One of my favorites, such a sweet card. There are four things about this card that always capture my thinking. The first is fairly obvious and I've seen it discussed. The second as well. The third and fourth, though, not so much... especially the last: never seen …

Hi everyone, in a reading I pull The Moon as advice about how to address anxiety/fears. I think it's about going back to the root of what scares/worries you, learning how to discern between what it is real and what it is not, but I think there's more to it.. Any other ideas? Thank you.

I would like to further explore the meanings of The Hanged Man reversed. All input is welcome and appreciated. To me, this card seems positive when I look at it reversed, but none of the meanings truly seem as bright as it appears to me. I am interested on your perspectives on this card.

Hello, What is your own experience with Judgement (RWS) card (no reversals as I am still learning upright) when it comes in different readings? It could be one card reading also For example: 1. What will be the outcome of a certain situation? 2. When will a certain event happen? 3. What do I need to know about communication with certain person in near future? 4. What are their feelings about another person? 5. How do they see you? 6. How do they see a certain situation? 7. What is the next best step for a person to take? 8. Yes and No query I see/read general meanings as resurrection of past (before putti…

Although there are no 'positive' and 'negative' cards per se, some archetypes are significations of good omens and others indicate attention. I would choose as the most positive 1) the world, 2) the sun, 3) the chariot, 4) the star and 5) the empress What do you think?

Hello friends, how are you? 😊 Could you please collaborate with your personal interpretations? I use RWS and consider the advice to be "act as the character of this card". With the 8 of swords as general advice, I can think: - Accept the limitations of that moment or situation. - Don't act. - Keep it under control. - Focus. - Find the answer within yourself. - Delimit your space. - Surround yourself with what you believe in, even if you don't see the circumstances clearly and want to change them. What do you think? Do you have any other ideas? Thank you!

I'm struggling to understand the meaning of the Magician card in the outcome position of a love reading. Could it be about manifestation and creation. That the querent needs to be clear about what they wish for and can make it happen. Any thoughts appreciated.
