I fully intended to not buy anymore decks for a long while. But since I've been back on the forum looking at all the pretty decks people have I've now pre ordered one (Tarot of the Devine by Yoshi Yoshitani and the companion book Beneath the Moon with all the stories) and bought another (Witches Tarot) because I couldn't wait 123 day plus about 4-6weeks shipping time to NZ. 

 

I've been waiting Yoshi Yoshitani's deck for what seems aaaages so couldn't pass up the opportunity! The Witches Tarot I spied on a local trading site. Its not what I'd normally go for and I've looked at it a few times before in passing but something about it called to me this time (apart from the price lol) so I hit the "buy now" button. It arrives next week 🙂 oops just got caught lol! "Are you buying another deck!?!?" Heh he missed the bit at the top where I mentioned about the pre ordered deck 😂 Hubby thinks I have way too many decks already (I only have 13). Maybe I should show him some of the collections on here 😂

 

ETA: Oh I almost forgot! I've also got a book about Lithomancy on its way to me! Thanks @katrinka😁

I'm waiting for "Pagan Otherworlds," "Universal Waite" in a tin, "White Light Oracle,"  "Dragons Oracle," and "Goddess Spirit Oracle." 

 

When I see it all in print, I realize I really need to stop buying decks. COVID-19 has contributed to me feeling like I want something to look forward to with being in the house so much so then I buy a shiny new deck. Not the healthiest mindset. I'm done for the year. No more. (Other than pre-orders already in place; I have 2)

 

I'm most excited about "Pagan Otherworlds" and "Spirit Goddess Oracle."

 

TheFeeLion, the Yoshitani deck is gorgeous. I didn't know it was releasing. I love decks with fairy tale / mythological themes. Hope you enjoy it.

@Portia I've been eyeing it up ever since I saw it on Pinterest. She hadn't completed it yet so when I saw that it was finally finished and available on Book Depository I couldn't say no. I'm such a sucker for fairy tales! I blame my grandfather for all those morning story reading sessions 😁 still have that big Readers Digest book too 😁

 

And I totally understand about the whole needing something to look forward to thing. We're finally able to get "non essentials" so I went a little crazy 😂 I really need to stop internt shopping! 😂

@TheFeeLion I've loved fairy tales my whole life. I never get sick of them either. Sounds like you had a wonderful grandfather. I hope you love the deck (I know you will.) I think I'm going to cancel Heaven and Earth Tarot pre-order and get that instead.

Ooo @kate that Tarot of the Holy Spectrum looks intriguing. Not sure I could handle not having a guidebook to explain his colour choices etc though...

@TheFeeLionI've been following the development on Instagram the whole time, and enough of the deck spoke to me on its own that I figured I'd just go for it! (also the art speaks to me)

 

I'll definitely update when I have it!

 

ETA and I really like that each of the minor suits follows the spectrum, it feels like the numerical progression to me. but we'll see!

I opened my Light Visions deck and about a third of the cards have print flaws. Printed too high on the card.

 

Edit: My initial annoyance has passed. I contacted the creator and he promised a new deck to be sent. I wasn't expecting it, and such a fast response. 😄

Also the Brady Tarot version 2 is being shipped this month.

@Tagi I've generally found James Eads (the creator/artist of that deck) to be entirely reliable in fixing those sorts of issues. I've been buying from him/backing his projects for a while now, and had one or two hiccups he was always fast to resolve. Glad to hear he's straightening that out!

 

The new edition (3rd? 4th??) of the Dark Mansion Tarot is shipping, for those of you who were waiting for that one! It's coming from Poland, so might be a spell. My Broken Mirror 4th and Ellis Deck fifth arrived this week, and I found a copy of Medieval Cat Tarot to buy. Happy dance.

i finally bit the bullet and ordered robert m. place's 5th edition of the alchemical tarot - AND the book (tarot, magic, alchemy, hermeticism and neoplatonism)... 680 pages, whew! i have the 3rd edition of the deck, i'm curious to see them side by side. i'm thinking i'm going to like the new, muted colors better?

I got my Fantastic Medical Tarot by Dr Gomi today. I’m almost scared to open it, it’s now the rarest deck I own. Think I hafta put gloves on for this one and it’s so not my style. Lol. I’m a riffler I’m rough, things are meant to be used but I’m just sitting her staring at it with the wrapper on. My wife’s like OMG! Open it!

My Witches Tarot arrived today 😁 haven't had a chance to look at it properly yet but for now it's been ordered (bought is 2nd hand) so at least I know all the cards are there. It's a lot slipperier than I thought it would be...

I hope you link to it. I have her Wise Dog Tarot and I've been considering the Grimalkin and the Crow.
AFAIC, she gets props just for knowing the word "Grimalkin".

Prisma Visions is gorgeous and so unique, James Eads really is a brilliant artist. 
 

The TSR decks are also works of art, from the line work to the coloring and the card stock and packaging. Anyone with an interest in historical decks should check Sullivan out, his work is the closest any of us will get to holding an actual artifact of the tarot from hundreds of years ago.

Sinking Wasteland & Neon Moon came today. They're so much more beautiful in real life. Bit glossy and slippery which is a ittle different than what I am used to but I can deal with that. It will hopefully make it easier to use them. 

 

Now I'm waiting for Occult Tarot and Crow Tarot to get here.

Hi all!

 

First time in this topic but i'm sooooo excited. I had a little shopping spree yesterday... And ordered one oracle deck and 2 tarot decks. Whoops!

The oracle deck is Starseed Oracle, and is arriving this evening.

The tarot decks are the Everyday Mini Tarot Deck and the White Sage Tarot. The Mini is arriving tomorrow, the White Sage on Monday. I am particularly excited for the White Sage to arrive because it is sooooo my style and it just feels so right. Can't wait! Will try to post pictures when I have them.

My Dreamweaver arrived today! It got stuck in international shipping hell for a while, which is a first for me. But it's here! I also got a shipping notification for my Dark Mansion last week, so it's on the way, but oof, who knows when it'll get here.
