Mi-Shell Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Here I am sharing a few of the bags I made for some of my decks over the years:
Raggydoll Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 @Mi-Shell That’s incredible!!! And I immediately find myself wondering which decks you made those for....? 😊
Flaxen Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I’m lucky enough to have an @Mi-Shell made bag. My houses my Greenwood.

Venus Rising Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 absolutely beautiful, @Mi-Shell and very, very special Thank you for sharing them with us.
LoveLightPeace Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 @Mi-Shell I love all of the tarot bags that you made, they are stunning! 😍 Thank you for sharing them with us. ❤️
Mi-Shell Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Thanks, guys!💕 Yes, Flaxen!♥ I am glad to hear, that you still have and use it! There are a few others , that have some of my bags 🙂 And since you guys asked; The first one is for my Tarot of the Origins Then there is the one for the Herbal Tarot, then the Beaver fur one for an LS native American deck and the last I think was an order for someone..... Here are some more: Ironwing lives in this bag and I made a book for the Card explanations, Lorena gave us: This one houses the Southwest Sacred tribes deck This one is for the Vision Quest deck. There are many more in this kind of style, but I made others, more conventional ones too. I do not know, if I pave pictures of these.
joy Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 @Mi-Shell beautiful work, I am in love ❤️ Thank you for sharing ❤️
lfg2k Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 (edited) Hey @Mi-Shell, is it possible to buy those online? Really great work! Edited August 17, 2019 by lfg2k
Mi-Shell Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Hi there, Ifg! I do custom work, have done so in the past for people on the forum. For that I would need to know, what deck you would house in the pouch and then create apiece specific to that deck. and just a little warning; I am NOT cheap 🙂
bookshop Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Just found this thread and wanted to say all the photos are amazing, you guys are such artists! Thank you for sharing!
MorticiaMonroe Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 I’ve made a few dozen bags and given all but two or three of them away. I love brocades and rich fabrics, but of course they were quite expensive. My solution was to hit up the furniture stores. They have tons of placemat-sized samples that are perfect for bag making. If you ask them they will usually give you the outdated ones for free😉
MorticiaMonroe Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Mi-shell, your creations are exquisite, as always. 💕
MorticiaMonroe Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 These were made with fabric samples from furniture stores. I usually line them with satin or cotton.

Czenzi Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 For those who crochet, I have an excellent pattern for a little bag that fits a standard deck of tarot cards perfectly. It is in bobble stitch and very easy. If anyone wants it, the pattern is free and I can show you where to “purchase” it. (The company requires an order form but no payment.) Please forgive that my example is not blocked or really that well done . . . But here’s pictures.
JustPeachy Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 @Raggydoll can you provide a link to the instructions/tutorial for making the boxes that you used? I'd love to try some hard sided boxes w/tops out of decent card stock for a change.
SilverLining Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 @Mi-ShellWow I love those, especially the last one. You all have inspired me to started making some of my own which has been an idea I have tossed around over the years.

I started out with this video but I decided to do the interior part differently (I believe I have mentioned that detail before in this thread and explained why, but this thread is so long that I’ve forgotten what I posted! 😅)

It’s really not that hard once you get started, and it’s such great fun!

This vid is very thorough. I just wonder if it might be cleaner/smoother if the parts were drawn as one solid piece and the sides scored for folding. Edited September 7, 2019 by JustPeachy
MorticiaMonroe Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Great fabric for that Housewives deck. I love them!
