Yes!!!! I have, and i bought it!!! It's beautiful. It's so cool because I'm a photographer myself and I have a sleep disorder too. 😉

It seems you and I both relate to this one.  Post your thoughts once you receive it; I will do the same!

That is a really nice deck - not shipping to UK at the moment unfortunately. I do look forward to hearing how you both like it though.

Ah,that's a shame. Hopefully that will change!

Not to mention

This thread feels suspiciously like another 'enabler' thread 🤣

I've decided to back the Blooming Cat Tarot and wholly blame you for bringing it to my attention @gregory 😆 I loved it straight away, but 'ummed an ahhed' because I was trying to talk myself out of spending more money. However, I just love the designs and they make me smile.

* Makes mental note to try not to look in this thread too often from now on *

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.  I blame this thread for getting me hooked on backing Tarot decks on Kickstarter.💀

I haven't been in this thread in quite awhile for the same exact reason. But then I got curious. And then well...here we go again....

Yes 😆 and the problem is I'm sure I will keep coming back here.

I'd never heard of Kickstarter until I saw a Tarot reader on YouTube talking about it. Then I saw this thread and thought it could do no harm to look. Oops 😬

In that vein, I was checking KS and noticed another North American KS print of an East Asian deck--the Sambucus Tarot:

This amuses me because I bought the mini and standard edition some months back and they came in these FANCY wooden carved boxes, which explained the higher than expected shipping cost. (All I could think was 'why do these decks weigh so much?' and then I got the package and all was explained.) These don't seem to include those. (I can provide some photos of anyone is interested.)

At the time I purchased there were no pictures of the collector's edition cards so I opted out. Now I'm really liking that color scheme... x.x

Edit: oh, I see the boxes are a stretch goal. Though, mine are much simpler looking. Also, this is the same group who did Broken Mirror which may mean this is the same artist, and that would be why I like this deck enough to buy two (out maybe three...) versions.

If I understand correctly, it is the same artist. I love that deck and use it often. I'm not sureabout this one though. Doesn't really resonate with me.

Anyone looking for yet another cat deck?

I've talked myself out of it. For now.

USA. Import costs and postage., Nope. Maybe LittleRed will stock it.

Mmmm, well, I was going to back it. It turns out they don't have the minors illustrated yet, just the majors. I'm wary of backing decks with unfinished art; though IME the artists eventually come through, the delays wind up being in the 2 year range. I'm not sure I want the deck in that kind of timeframe when I could just wait and buy an extra once they're done.

So I'm going to hold back on this one.

Me too. It reminds me a lot of the Cat Tarot, which I already own. But we'll see. Maybe I'll change my mind.

No worries everyone I found something new to get!

This is the same artist who did the Solara Occulto and Mercury Salt Sulphur decks.

Me, too, @Niobium!

There was something holding me back from getting the Solara when it first came out, but I know now that the Crimson is more up my alley.

The Decolonized Tarot

A tarot deck made by Filipino-Americans Maritess Zurbano and Cathleen Abalos. One of the higher tiers offers an animated ebook of tarot meanings.

It appears to be KS tarot season. First up, a fully illustrated edition of the Fox Tarot:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/illustratedfoxtarot/the-illustrated-fox-tarot

Liking the look of it; I may finally snag a copy.

Next, another D&D 5e deck, this one specifically RWS. It comes in two themes (gold and silver, paired with Western and Eastern myths respectively). Lovely art, but there's a catch. It's POD, meaning your pledge covers basically design and art, then you separately purchase from one of their specified POD vendors at cost (no mark up). This isn't the first project they've done like this so I guess we'll see how it turns out? The combined estimate for a given copy is in the $50-60USD range, which is average for a KS deck IME.

And finally, Meowholic, which failed to fund the first time out, is instead back as a simpler, lower-threshold KS, which has already made it:

It's so cute and I need another cat deck like I need a hole in my head. But...hm.
