Hello all! My wife and are both Tarot readers, with over 40 years of combined experience. She comes from an astrological background while I address the tarot from a more alchemical and hermetic point of view. My goal, as always, is to learn and share so that we can all become more elevated and raise our collective vibration.

Hi I’m new here, I’m a 40- something housewife, no kids, just hubby and cat! I dabble in Tarot and read for myself mostly, I do a few spells and meditate often. Interested in metaphysical and esoteric pursuits, I find reading for others quite draining, but I can do it.

Hey folks, I've decided to join in with the forum, after watching from a far for the past few weeks. I'm relatively new to tarot, and after a couple of tries have found a deck that really speaks to me. I enjoy working with runes, and have a long term interest in developing my own intuition further. I also hope to be able to help others on their journeys too. I look forward to being a part of this forum, with other like minded companions. M

Hi everyone! I'm very happy to be here and excited to be in such a supportive space. I've lurked around for awhile but never really felt comfortable contributing or asking my questions until now. I've been practicing hoodoo for awhile but just recently began using tarot after I was gifted a deck. I do have a few questions. I've currently be using my cards to inquire about how my spellwork has been going (i.e is it working as intended, what am I overlooking or should be considering.,etc). What I'm wondering is 1) is it ever okay to ask yes/no questions if you're going to follow up with a more open question? 2) Are the answers finite? If I ask about if my work…

Hello all!! Noob to the forum/site, but have been studying tarot, as well as other magickal/occult/ paranormal topics for the past 30 years. First got into it as when mom would take me to her sessions with friends in the 70's where they would do yoga, astral projection, and other meditative activities. I remember at that early age - 4-5 years old, of having a connection with an entity in the house they used to meet in. First got into rune study in the early 80's as a combined result of being exposed to the Tolkien books, learning about my ancestry (Scandinavian/German/Swiss), heavy metal music and dungeons and dragons. Also developed a curiosity about tarot, K…

Hello everyone! I am a beginner in Tarot readings (However I am rather experienced in a romantic reading using playing cards and also rather good in the Lenormand method), so I got myself the Smith-Waite Centennial Edition as a first deck. Do you have any suggstions/tips on how to get started in getting to know the deck meanings or things to look out for etc? Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated!

Growin up in the 80's...šŸ˜ If it wasn't for television/books, when I was a kid..I wouldn't have had any magickal encouragement.. outside of for my own lil inner voice of course ..OMG definitely my "wake up" movie was "Teen witch"šŸ’• I always believed in magick but not really understanding why? Or where those feelings came from. That movie did it for me. Finally.. I saw Magick in the city! Magick at school! No warts..frogs..or bumpy noses. What..you mean witches can be regular people??? What??!! They can be teens? I thought you had to be old! It was like Aww man..I knew I wasn't crazy..it's on!

I am a 40 something year old mother from SW Canada. I got my first tarot deck in 2004. The Gilded Tarot. I was interested in it for a bit but felt overwhelmed by the various meanings and interpretations. I have picked it up off and on over the years, more as a self meditation tool and admiration for the invoking imagery than for reading for anyone else. I always feel like I'm looking for THE deck that I will be able to read with. I'll find a deck then something throws me off - some sort of OCD with associations etc. Though over the years the foundational meanings sort of naturally come now I need to learn how to be more intuitive. I have literally sat with a celtic cross …

Hello all! This is my first time joining a tarot forum, so I am stoked. Last time I joined a forum, it was Spyder's Empire poetry forum back in the day. The feedback there was great, and I hope to give and get here the same here. But for tarot (obvious, right?). I was gifted my first deck by a guy named Bob many moons ago (both "short time" and "many moons" being relative termsbut didn't like the vibes I got from them and bought my own shortly after.... I use Rider Waite deck, and look forward to being a here-when-I-can-be member of the community.

Hi everyone A newbie. Had cards before - now starting again. Not a big fan of the rider Waite tarot deck - I don't know why not - but I just don't feel attached to the cards. So looking for tips for a nice beginner deck. Also got the Wild Unknown Tarot - with which I do feel connected. But maybe not the easiest to start with. Hope to learn from all of you!

Hello! It’s a pleasure to be here with you all. I was a long-time lurker on AT, and was very bummed when it was closed. However, I was very pleased to run across this forum and it’s group of kind, helpful, knowledgable people—everything I liked about AT! This time, though, I think it best if I lurk less and be involved more. šŸ™‚ I’m a transplant to the Midwest from NYC. Back there, I used to read regularly for others for quite a few years (never close to full-time, though—I’m in wild envy of those of you that have this as your career.) Here in the Midwest… it’s a different story due to a different breed of folks than I’m used to. Even at the odd ā€œtarot partyā€ boo…

Hello! I go by Liadan, or Lia, online. I just recently got my first tarot deck, Linestrider. I've done 3 readings for myself so far. A couple 3 card spreads and a single card draw. I first try to intuitively read the images and then look up the card meanings after making my initial interpretation. I'm just looking for a community where I can ask my questions of ignorance. Google search just isn't cutting it and I greatly enjoy bouncing ideas and thoughts off others. I've noticed with many things I get tunnel vision and find it helpful to get others perspectives so as to broaden my own view and understanding. Any tips for a beginner would be apprec…

Hi everyone, I'm so excited to join this community and having great conversations and insights about Tarot! I've been a student of the Tarot for a little over 20 years; like many others express, when i held my first tarot deck, it felt so familiar, like meeting an old friend from another time. In my day to day life, i offer readings here and there, and love doing it,and yet my primary use of Tarot is for my own personal development. Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Hi everyone, I'm kind of newish to tarot though I have had a deck for 20+ years I only recently started reading for myself on a daily basis and hope to try reading for my friends in the near future. I am a stay at home mom of 3, married to a wonderful guy and also part of the closeted lgbt and poly community and I would consider myself a non-practicing pagan though it's something I have had more interest in over the last few weeks. I have many hobbies including cosplay and sewing, reading, genealogy, tattooing (hopefully a future career/ and NO I don't tattoo people yet), drawing, puzzles an a bunch of other introvert style hobbies. I also do kempo karate and have an…

Hello, my name's Ermite (pronounced air-meet), I'm an amateur card reader. My brother is a much better reader than I am, I grew up with him reading them as a hobby for years now and so I took up the practice rather recently, but I'm not nearly as gifted as he is. I've had a few times where I've read and predicted outcomes in the cards, but I don't feel confident at all in my reading abilities so here I am looking for feedback, tips, suggestions, anything really. As I mentioned, I didn't take up the practice until about a year ago when I bought my Biddy's Everyday Tarot cards. I had bought decks before (a lot of decks...) but I would end up giving them to my brother b…

I've come on here to help me develop on my journey and to absorb as much information as possible and to learn from all of you, to learn different perspectives and eventually (hopefully) help out others!

Hello everyone! My name is Willa. I've been interested in tarot, crystals and witchcraft for a long time, but have only recently started to use them. I suffer from some anxiety and low self esteem, so I always kind of felt that I had no business getting involved in these things. Like I wasn't good enough for them or would never be good at them. I'm trying really hard to be easier on myself though! I honestly think that they will help with all of the self doubt and negativity I'm feeling. I mainly joined this forum so that I can absorb as much information as possible about how to read tarot. I'm also hoping I'll be able to get so…
