Hello everyone! Yes, I'm that Rodney. But that seems like a lifetime ago at this point. Now I'm just a regular collector and sometimes tarot reader/user. Lately I've been more focused on a deep dive into the I Ching, examining the structure of and connections between the hexagrams. I exchange readings IRL with a friend every month or so. I'm still using my double deck Transparent Tarot. I can't remember the last time I did an online exchange reading. I'm on two other tarot forums, although I'm nowhere near as active on either of them as I was on Aeclectic. I'm not sure how active I'll be here either, but I figured it was time I finally joined. I'm …

Hi, I used to frequent the AT site too, but haven't joined any other online tarot until now. That was an amazing site and I've been really missing the connection of reading for others. I own about ten other decks and they are a variety with different artworks such as animal-focused, cat themed or nature themes. I have set of moonstone runes I like to practice, and the Gilded lenormand and other divination decks. Currently, I prefer my Hanson-Roberts deck because of its familiar feel to me as I've been out of reading practice for few years now! Looking forward to returning to reading and keep on improving my skills at reading for others. Beyond tarot, I'm a fu…

Hello, Tarot Peoples! First the details, 'cause I don't know where else to start ~ I've been connected to the tarot for 25+ years, and I'm the author of 6 books (three of them on tarot). I'm the mother of 7 children. I home-schooled 6 children for a total of 25+ years. My oldest child is 45, and my youngest child is 19. When I stopped to think about it, it kind of amazed me. I realized that I've had babies in 4 different decades and two centuries!! I was born in California, raised in South Dakota, and have lived the last 30 years in Nebraska. This spring saw a HUGE change to my life, one I'm still adjusting to. I call it The Great Migration... …

Hello everyone, I am pretty new to this subject. I had some exposure to cards when I was younger, but I have never done a personal study of them. I did have a somewhat bad experience when I was 17 with a reading that very ominous. This made me very hesitant for a long time to continue any sort of study, but that was many years ago and I don't think a person should spend their whole life afraid of something. So here I am and I am looking forward to learning new things from everyone.

Hello, My name is Claire and I'm from Northamptonshire in the UK. I have always had a strong calling to all things spiritual. After raising my two babies I have finally found some time to focus on myself & what's important to me. I was gifted The Psychic Tarot a long time ago. The past few months I picked up the deck and it just sang to me. I have been looking for a safe space to explore the cards and find out all I can. Looking forward to exploring this forum & meeting like minded people. Thank you Claire

I’ve been reading my own cards for a few years and picking things up while doing that. I’m big into paranormal and spirituality. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Dear all, very nice to be here with you! I was active on the AT forum for a while a few years ago, especially in the Tarot de Marseille reading exchanges and groups. I went "off" tarot for a while after a very intense two years of learning - then I found my way back, via the wonderful (and out of print...) Collective Tarot and other queer decks. Still love the Tarot de Marseille the most though, the Dodal was my first love and is still often my go to deck for readings for myself, the small mamanmiyuki TdM from Japan is my main deck to read for others, and I have many more... Anyway, nice to be back! And looking forward to diving back into learning and reading…

Hello! My name is jupiter (she/her), and I just registered here. I am in the process of rediscovering the Tarot – after a brief Tarot phase in my teenage years and a long hiatus I am now coming back to it at age 31. My first deck was the Cosmic Tarot, which I bought from a book shop in my small home town. I remember the cheeky feeling of browsing the aisle of esoteric books 🙂 I love reading about spiritual traditions, witchcraft, methods for self development/reflection and divination. Thanks for having me!

Hi everyone!! Thought it would be nice to post a re-introduction of sorts. 🙂 For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Dawn! I live in Scotland and I’ve been reading tarot on and off for ten years now. So much of my growth and learning has been fostered by AT and here. I was a moderator in the early days of this forum, unfortunately due to my health I became absent and am no longer in that role. I will write about this more in my journal later for those of you who are interested. I haven't been doing much in the way of tarot during my absence but I’m very excited to have a shiny new deck on the way to give me a kick start back into my st…

Hello, all! I'm Audra -- just joined the forum this morning. I stumbled over this forum while googling reviews of an oracle deck, and I was immediately intrigued. I've been studying tarot for forever on my own -- via books and personal practice -- but I haven't participated in many of the tarot communities (lurked for a very long time on some Yahoo Groups-based tarot discussion lists, though). I turned 40 this summer and feel like I need to change up how I do things, including my current tarot practice, so here I am! I started reading in 1996 or so, and did heavy study for quite a while before I found myself mostly collecting decks and not working with them. About two yea…

Hello to everyone here. I used to be at the Aeclectic Forum and I was sad to see it go. My first deck was the original Oswald Wirth tarot, bought for me by a girlfriend about 38 years ago. Currently I like Liber T Stars Eternal and the old Swiss 1JJ. I occasionally do readings for myself, but I mainly use the cards as companion in lonely times. In 2001 I became a Freemason with UGLE in London; a wonderful experience!

Hello all👋🏻! I’m Victoria and I’m new to the site and Tarot. I’m always terrible about knowing what to say to introduce myself but I’m an open book and will answer any questions! If you like sassy and adventurous, I’m your gal! I love tarot but I’m not really sure how to read, if I’m doing it right, etc., so any tips and tricks are so welcome! I’m basically just trying to teach myself with the guidebook that came with my deck and any tidbits I find on the internet, combined with my intuition!

I joined the forum more than one year ago but had to leave suddenly because of a health crisis. I apologise for the abrupt departure without explanation. I have had a quick look at the forum occasionally and am pleased to see that there are lovely and profound things happening here still. I won't be back regularly but it is still nice to get information about various decks and tarot practice from time to time. For those who remember me, my research and writing have become quite serious now and a source of purpose and enjoyment. The decks I use most often are the Vision Tarot, Tarot of the Crone, and Tarot of Trees I like Drui…

Hello, everyone! I am grateful to have found this community board. I cannot now for the life of me remember what username I used over at AT, but I was one of the last members to have joined in before it was shut down. I think I was on it only for a few months. But what precious few months those were. I truly deepened my respect for and knowledge of the Tarot during that time. And while I am a member of an active FB group, sometimes the interface of social media allows for too much slick retorts and un-thought-out comments and so helpful points are lost. A community board like this, I feel, is still ideal for Tarot readers to come together as a community. …

It's great to find a tarot forum at last! I have had tarot cards since i was in my early 20s and have dipped in and out of them over the years......lots of years actually......but I realized about a month ago that I actually had 10 different decks although if anyone had asked me i would have said that I wasn't into tarot. Yep weird. So, I've faced up to the fact that I am a lover of tarot and probably always will be and have joined the forum to help me understand and guide me on my journey - plus I've just ordered 3 new decks to celebrate my newly realized tarot passion. I look forward to meeting you all! Nell

Hi all! I got my first deck many years ago and have done one or two readings over that time, but never really committed to actually learning anything beyond what came in the LWB. Recently I have felt moved to pick up my cards and actually make an effort towards learning the generally accepted card meanings and getting an over all better understanding of the craft. And so, it is with that in mind that I have found myself looking for a forum of like minded folks... and that's how I ended up here. So after all that, hello!
