After a bit of a hiatus, I am back into the tarot. I did if for about 13 years starting in the 90s and a TMI stopped me for the last 15 years. I'm back relearning everything but I certainly didn't forget how to buy decks lol. I am in rural Tennessee, hitting my Crone era.

Last year I started reading for coworkers and found it to be a lot of fun and a great way to see how much I've learned. Lately, I've been feeling a pull towards the cards. Howdy, I'm CappieReadsTarot, as the name applies I am a Cappie who read tarot 😀. I've been working and practicing with tarot since the age of 18 where I started out with the art of cartomancy till I was gifted my very first tarot deck for Christmas. From there I strengthen my reading skills daily with a card pull and enjoy developing my intuition and clairvoyance skills through reading tarot. Thought I'd step outside of my comfort zone and join communities like this to be with likeminded people.

Hello everyone! I've been looking for this kind of forum for a while but have never participated before today. I've been practicing tarot for over 10 years now (mainly for personal readings). I am also familiar with Lenormand, Kipper and more recently I've started looking into astrology oracles as well. I'm always happy to learn more and grow through card readings. So here I am! I believe many of us do not read for ourselves, because we know we put our thoughts and energies strongly into the cards and we can mislead ourselves, so I wonder how we can be sure that when we are reading for our clients that we aren't putting any preconceived notions or any judgment thoughts and energies into the cards and unknowingly misdirecting them? if we are very skilled at maintaining a cleansed, accepting and open energy field when reading for clients, then can we also read for ourselves?

I miss the forum aspect of internet life and I was so disappointed when AT closed the forum, though grateful the archive exists. About a year ago I was online window shopping for tarot decks when I thought to myself, "If I am meant to learn tarot, the universe will provide." Well, the next day the universe did indeed provide. Then, provided again some weeks later. Then, again. I now have three tarot decks that chose me. I am in need of more practice, study, and accountability. It's been a couple (or a few) years since I was last here, so I figured reintroduction is in order. I've been busily blogging away on my divination blog since 2017 after Aeclectic Tarot folded (I have over 2,300 divination-related posts now), and recently wrote an essay bemoaning the fact that Aeclectic has never been convincingly replicated. I decided to come back and see if you can make a liar out of me. I see a few familiar names here, which is encouraging. Now you'll have to endure my relentless commentary again for a while (I'm just glad I didn't have to redo my login credentials).
