Hi, everyone What's the most disappointing deck that you ever bought? Mine is Tarot of the Old path. The majors are pretty, but the Minors are "meh"; I was disappointed in their lack of background imagery.

I know we all talk about decks we're looking at, anxious to see come out, BUT what about the darlings that didn't work out? I really don't like clutter and something I don't like, don't want to use becomes clutter, no matter how pretty. So how many decks are you saying bye bye! to in 2019? For me, TWO.

Idea for a deck library album or tag - CottageCore / cozy decks. Includes a range of themes but all should have a warm, cozy, earthy, friendly aesthetic. For starters I think I'd include: Green Witch Tarot Forest of Enchantment Everyday Witch Tarot ? Badgers Forest Tarot in Wonderland Wild Medicine Herbal deck Pythia Botanica Oracle Claude Burdel Tarot de Marseilles

My selection would be with the Morgan Greer deck which I originally acquired in the 1980s. It's my favori…

Aaargh. I was just trying to use a deck I've owned for a while, but never use. I was reminded of why. It's The Light Seer's Tarot. The cards' matte finish and thick card stock makes them cling together. I can't shuffle them. Is there any edition that doesn't have this issue? I have one other deck that I LOVE, but never use for the same reason: Poppy Palin's The Everyday Enchantment Tarot—again with the matte finish. I've even tried magicians' dust on this one, and nope ...not only does the dust get everywhere, but the effects don't last. Have any of you experienced this issue? Or is it only me?

FYI Tarot collectors of limited decks.... Just purchased the Santa Muerte Tarot Limited Coffin Edition from the Museo del Tarot in Barcelona, Spain for retail Euro prices. Paid 55 Euro + 6 Euro shipping to Canada for total of 61 Euro or $97 dollars CAD. This is retail prices as I know the tarot was selling in the UK for 43 GBP which is 50 Euros. Not sure what it went for in Canada or the US, but at least it is cheaper than the $150 to $200 pricetag on Ebay. Anyways, just wanted to pass the info along as on the site it states they still have "High" stock of the item, so if you want one, I suggest you check it out now before they fly off the shelves. (if you can't …

I was looking to see if there was a thread to share my excitement that this deck is available to order (I've been watching it for a couple of years now!) but I can't see a thread... I've pre-ordered (the first time I've EVER done that with a deck) and am really looking forward to it. Roll on September. https://yoshiyoshitani.store/collections/tarot https://www.amazon.com/Tarot-Divine-Guidebook-Inspired-Folklore/dp/0593135148

For those who like their birds black, here is The Crow Tarot by MJ Jones. It says on her website that it's being published by US Games and is bound to be released later this year. For those who wish to pre-order and get a signed copy, they can do so through her Indiegogo page. If you order there, the estimated delivery date is still December 2018.

Hello, everyone Do you have a comfort deck? A deck that you go to when you want a soothing, gentle reading that you know will calm you and let you know that everything will be all right? A deck that just lifts your spirits? Or a deck that makes you feel better just by holding it (or is that just me?). Mine are the Hanson-Roberts Tarot and the Happy Tarot. The Hanson-Roberts was my first deck, so it feels like an old friend. It's artwork is gentle, with soft pastels, and I know I'll always get an encouraging reading from it. The Happy Tarot is the lift-my-spirits deck - when I'm feeling down, I pull it out, and it always makes me smile.

Just saw that we're going to have another Wizards Tarot deck early next year by Barbara Moore and Mieke Janssens. I love the artwork. It looks fantastic and I cannot wait to get it! 😍After Corinne Kenner's Wizards Tarot went out of print, I'm glad there will be another beautiful wizards deck available. One question though - can they not come up with another name? Or add something to it to differentiate it from the other wizard decks? 🤔 Here is a link to the artist's portfolio, where she has some cards https://www.hireanillustrator.com/i/portfolio/mieke-janssens/#lg=1&slide=13 Her artwork is very beautiful. https://www.amazon.com/Wizards-Taro…

Hello everyone! I have found my perfect match - after purchasing several decks: gorgeous, interesting and visually stunning, the good old (but totally new to me) Morgan Greer deck speaks to me like an old friend. I have a 2004.edition,made in Italy, English version. I am concerned about the cardstock - these are very thin and papery, after literally 2 days of using, the deck has already bonded. I love thick cards, strong and laminated. These are a bit too thin, although I will use them, I'm considering another MG deck that is more thick. I have read several forum posts about different editions but I can't wrap my mind around the info. Can anyone help me with the info…

I find old men represented a lot in tarot decks but old women rarely. I'm looking for both oracle and tarot decks with old women represented in them. I have the Textured Tarot and the Literary Witches Oracle but that's about it. I've come across decks like the Faery Forest Oracle which are full of beautiful young people and ONE ancient/crone card with an old woman. That's better than nothing, and I would like to know about such decks too. But I'd be even happier with decks where it's not the exception to the rest of the deck, or a one-off thing.

I've been staying mostly out of the loop for the last few years, only catching the scent of the Phantomwise Tarot, Hush Tarot, and a couple new editions of old favs (really enjoying all of these). I see lots of discussion online about shiny, new indie decks but less about the more accessible, new mass market decks. I'd love to know what I've missed and see affordable, mass market decks get some love. So, which new decks from the last few years have you been enjoying/coveting? Which were your favs?

To avoid confusion, since I know there are several Celtic tarot decks, this is the one I'm talking about: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/celtic-2/ Anyone have or worked with this deck? I just traded for it, should be here sometime next week. I actually hadn't seen it before I was offered it in a trade, and I liked the images I saw so decided to go for it. Would love to hear others' experiences :)

For those interested in this deck, it's on sale on Amazon for a little over $7. I just splurged a tiny bit go get it, and it reminds me of my Animals Divine deck. Does anybody here have this deck who wishes to share their thoughts about it? I won't get it for at least another week since I'll be out of state.

The Writer's Block Tarot, which came to life via Kickstarter, is now available at a new site: https://www.asabovesobelowtarot.net/decks/writers-block-tarot-deck I missed out on the Kickstarter, and wrote to the creator a few months back asking if the deck could still be purchased. She said she was planning to make it available and would let me know. Good as her word, she did so today :) If anyone has the deck from the Kickstarter, would love to hear about your experiences working with it!

Which among the decks in your collection is the T H I C C -est, i.e. has the most number of cards? Do you feel like they're too complex and that they require more effort to learn? How often do you read with them? Would you recommend them? I love <3 decks with lots of cards! Extra majors, Happy Squirrels, extra courts, extra suits even - these all set my avaritious heart aflutter.

I saw a discussion like this elsewhere and wanted to bring it here...what's the story of your first tarot deck? What was the deck, how did you come by it, what drew you to it, etc.

Looks like Valenza is making an illustrated pips version of Trionfi. Unfortunately he's not showing any of the new cards and only printing 500. 😕 Color me annoyed. At any rate: https://deviantmooninc.com/collections/trionfi-della-luna/products/trionfi-della-luna-illustrated-preorder-mid-april

A recent discussion started by @Scarlet Woodland about favorite new mass market decks got @Misterei and I discussing black and white decks. Oddly, I couldn’t find a thread about this subject so if this is a duplicate, please shift accordingly. Happy to keep a previous thread moving. Where are you when it comes to two color decks? I have Ship of Fool’s Tarot - just opened it for this discussion although it has been on my mind all week. I’ve found a lot to ponder and consider in the guidebook which I like because thinking outside of the box is a personal goal of mine. However, a good guidebook does not necessarily make for a good reading deck relati…

Has anyone here actually ordered from MakePlayingCards.com? How was it like? How long did the shipping take? Were the products exactly as they were described? How was the quality and customer service? I remember reading in one of the threads here that the Large Asherah is now sold in MPC. That was nice and I took note of that, but then I found out that the Hall of Mirrors is also available in the site. That really roused my curiosity. I don't know of anyone who has bought any deck from them tho.

Hi guys, I’m very new to all of this!! So please help me out. I’m dating a girl I really care about and she’s expressed on a number of occasions that she would love her own tarot cards. She’s very conscious and spiritual, I am starting to dip my toes in but I’m really inexperienced. I want to buy her, her first tarot cards I just have no idea what I’m doing or where to start. Ideally I would like the pack to be special/ beautiful. I’m not sure if that’s a thing (please excuse any ignorance on my part). Advice and suggestions are all so welcome! Thanks in advance.
