Some decks just don't get that much attention, they fly under the radar, don't get hyped. Everyone is oohing over a Bohemian Gothic or a Wild Unknown, and this deck is left in the corner unloved. So what's your favourite underrated deck? I really like the Courtney Davis Celtic. I love his art and it's a beautiful deck, it was the first (and so far only) unillustrated minors deck I got on with in any way. But compared to it's illustrious stablemates like the Alchemical and the Greenwood, it's got relatively little attention and you used to be able to pick it up second hand for peanuts.

Hello! In August, I bought this deck but didn’t open it right away. Now I find the quality to be questionable. The most obvious issue is the unevenly cut corners, which make the cards stick together. Another problem is what I perceive as sloppy colouring. On some cards, it’s more annoying than on others. I’ll attach what I think is the worst example. Am I being too picky? Would this bother you?

Hi – new member here, posting for the first time. Please advise if you think I am doing something unethical or not. I have occasionally made my own copies of OOP decks that retail for many hundreds of dollars – if I ever win the lottery I plan to go back and buy any available of these real decks, but barring that unlikely occurrence I will never be able to afford them. In the meantime, I have downloaded pictures of the cards and printed them at home. The resulting deck is obviously a copy and would fool no one into thinking it is an original. Not only would it fool no one, but no one even sees it. I live alone, read only for myself, and have no tarot-enthusias…

I have a few trimmed decks that have only the art, where I was able to trim away all letters and numbers. I find I really like working with decks with only the images. It causes the brain to use different circuitry when there are no language cues present, and causes the brain to internalize patterns in new ways that simply don't occur when letters and numbers can be seen. Even after working with tarot for 20+ years, I find myself "seeing them better" with art only. However, trimming presents other issues. It's time consuming, and I'm not a pro at it. My trimmed decks are beautiful but they don't shuffle quite as well as commercially cut/edged decks. And even …

Although I’ve had the deck awhile, I just unboxed and looked at all the cards and I had no idea there were so many cats in this deck. 😊 Fascinating. The guidebook has no descriptions of the art, but, their chosen descriptions of the card appear to match up the visual clearly. I like it.

It sounds like the Kickstarter is planned for this month for this gorgeous cat deck: https://78daysofcattarot.wordpress.com/ Who else is excited? On one paw, I wish I had discovered it sooner. On the other, I'm happy I'm discovering it right before it's done so I don't have to wait an entire year!

Hi friends. Does anyone know where I can still buy a deck of The Silhouettes Tarot by Masa Kuzuki? I ran across it recently online and it looks amazing and I want a deck but the artist has stopped printing it (frustrating!). I imagine someone here must have this deck: is it as cool in person as it looks digitally? Thanks! 😄 DrDunbar

I'm really loving this deck. It's bridge sized (you can do small draws in your hand, like in the photo.) It's different: there are only 64 cards. There are some changes to the Majors: the Tower is strong and undamaged, the Hanged Man is hung by the neck, there's a Ship card, etc. You can see the differences here and here. And there's a wonderful little book to learn from: Arianna Montalto's Tarocco Siciliano. Yes, it's in Italian. But we have Google Lens these days! You don't even have to type in text, just point your phone at a page: See how purely cartomantic the meanings are? No navel gazing, no cliches, no new age BS. Everything is 100% useful a…

From Spirit Science Central: Patch Tarot is finally here! This groundbreaking deck is an amalgamation of the world’s most prominent Tarot imagery and symbolism, taking into account the relationships between all of the elements, astrology, the Tree of Life, and so much more. It also reveals the hidden aspects of the Tree of Life, bringing four new benevolent cards into the mix which we’ve called “Holy Arcana”. This 82 card deck is designed to be a fusion of the classical Rider Waite and Thoth themed decks, fusing them together and reconciling the paradoxes, bringing about a new generation of Tarot for you; the modern alchemical scholar.

Spotted this on Kickstarter! It's interesting! I was puzzled about why the goal was so low (just $500) but apparently this is a reprint of a pre-existing deck — you can buy it currently here, though the price is about $2 more than the cost of the Kickstarter deck: http://store.wyngdlyon.com/horror-comic-book-tarot-deck/ It seems like a fun concept, and a good way to learn more about the golden age of horror comics, which is kind of a storied era among comics fans. The kickstarter images don't do the cards justice, but the ones on the store site are a little better: However, the creator told me on KS t…

I'm in need of finding good collage tarot decks for professional readings for clients. I find that the collage decks are eye candy and can help in unfolding a story with my readings. Are there any suggestions?

The Bearot Deck, a bear-themed tarot deck by artist Claire Weber, goes up for pre-order Monday 8/29 at Noon PDT (I know her Instagram says PST but Daylight Savings doesn't end in the US until November so that's likely supposed to be PDT): https://thebearotdeck.bigcartel.com/product/the-bearot-deck-pre-order Some card examples at that link, plus plenty more on her IG (linked at the bottom of that page). Looks very cute!

I can't believe I haven't taken more note of this deck before...I think I did come across it before and liked it, but only really looked at it today. Does anyone here have this deck? I'm curious for anyone who wants to share, how does it read for you? and also what is the guidebook like? <3
