Anyone fancy enabling me on the Forest of Enchantment? I'm so tempted...

Oh, it's beautiful! Lunaea Weatherstone did one of my all-time favorite decks (Mystical Cats), so I would definitely say grab it if it calls you! It looks like the sort of deck that would just draw you into its world and really involve you in what it has to teach.

Thank you @tarot_cat, it's still on my list of wants but I ended up going for the Oak, Ash & Thorn Kickstarter!

Hello my lovely enablers! 🙂

I need some help finding a deck with Circe in mind. I'm not sure of the kind of thing I want yet so I'm open to suggestions.

Got any ideas for me?

I used to have The Tarot of the Delphi which had several neo-classical paintings using Circe on the cards.  It's oop now but it's a gorgeous deck.  DELPHI

That's such a beautiful deck! What a shame its OOP 😞

I've been doing a bit of searching to see what I could find, far too many were Way over what I want to spend though!

I did discover the Anima Mundi and the Oriens Tarot which are both beautiful. They both fit the kind of feel I'm after. Has anyone used either of these before? What are they like?

I too am a better enabler than de-enabler!  The first deck I want to present is The Influence of Angels.  Gregory tried her hardest to de-enable this deck for me on the other thread with no success.  I love it!  Members were upset with the major arcana depicted as angels but I love it.  I read for all types of people including Christians and I wanted to have this deck for them.  The minor arcana is lovely with supporting angels painted in.  The art is old fashioned homespun and the cards shuffle well.  I truly love this deck and am happy to own it. 😊

this was a whole year ago, but i LOVE this! (Hi, I'm new)

Hello @amytug, welcome!

Hi @amytug!

OK thread, I will buy only one deck next month (besides one I have on hold on a trade board) but I want three from Little Red Tarot:

- Cosmic Cycles

- Pagan Other Worlds

- Ophidia Rosa

Which do I spring for? Help?

From the 3 you listed I would say the Pagan Otherworlds, but this can be a matter of taste!

Ooo I really like the Ophidia Rosa but that Pagan Otherworlds is such a beautiful deck, so I would go for that one next month and the Ophidia the month after 😁

Another vote for Pagan Otherworlds.

Don't know if this goes in the enabling or de-enabling thread - haha. I purged a lot of my collection already about a  year ago. I seem to get into the decks that become popular in the moment and I've been eyeing the light seers tarot. https://lightseerstarot.com/ The art work is so pretty and some of the cards concepts so interesting. such as the death card. Am I just following another trend of a popular tarot deck.

Could someone talk me into pre-ordering the Fantastic Menagerie tarot, from Baba Studio's?

I'm forever on the fence about this one. I'm repelled by it (bugs in costumes? :bugeyed:) but at the same time also super attracted by it (BUGS! In costumes! :redheart:).

I remember being disappointed to find out is was OOP, years ago. Now I see I can order it... Should I? Please share your love story!

I have the original. It reads well, and it's got a sly, satirical sense of humor. The new edition will have glorious cold stamping. And it will probably be the final Fantastic Menagerie, ever. Last chance. If you don't like it (but I'm sure you will) you can always flip it on ebay for a tidy profit.

I got my first edition of it when they were still relatively cheap - I doubt if I would pay current Baba Studio prices for it (and the cold stamping I don't really care about, to be honest; I'm not sure it fits this particular deck).

But, having said that, it reads *very* well, in a storybook kind of way.

It is very good for relationship readings (not just romantic ones, any kind of relationship) because almost all the cards have several figures in them; you can ask the querent which figure they most identify with in that scenario, which is the one they would prefer to behave like, etc.

I like the bugs, they're some of my favourite cards 😉

Hopefully they’ll begin to ship the Fantastic Menagerie from September, if there is no delay of course!

I look forward to my copy!

The cold stamping will enhance the cards, but for this deck I also think that it could be beautiful without.

Happy to hear that it reads well! Reading the words 'last chance' made me feel nervous, so... I went ahead and just ordered it! I also feel confident I will find a new owner if it doesn't click after all. Thank you!

It's indeed pricey! It will be the most I ever spent on a deck. I'm curious to see how the cold stamping turned out, I think that will only be visible in real life...

Good to hear from you as well that it reads well! I'm an intuitive reader, and these images look like they give a lot of input for associating.

I'm a HUGE lover of bugs in general, I'm looking forward to meet these Fantastic bugs!

I just pre-ordered, and I join you in hoping we get it in September! Good news: it's already august 😉

It is. Grandville never fails to impress. I love my old copy, but I'm really looking forward to the new edition.

If the cold stamping was blobbed on in solid splotches, I'd be inclined to agree. But it follows the delicate lines of the engravings. You can see the effect on the Sun/rooster images at the site:

Yes! It does have that storybook ambience. But even as pretty and childlike as it appears, it has an edge that you don't encounter often. Grandville certainly didn't shy away from depicting the unsavory aspects of life.

I agree. We need more bugs in Tarot. 😁

Yes! I pre-ordered at the beginning of March on my side, so well... but September is soon now!

Does anyone have the Edmund Dulac Tarot? I've had it on my wishlist for a while and it has kept popping into my head over the last few months. I'm still undecided about whether is should actually get it though. Any thoughts?

Well @Decan, @TheFeeLion and @gregory. It is now October and I still have not been able to choose hahaha. You all helped me eradicate the Cosmic Cycles though, so that's something?

I'm not sure these are good news, lol, since we are here in the all-singing all-dancing Tarot enabling, so we should have been able to make you feel like buying a deck! 🙂

Oooh, that is a rather nice deck.  It's such a long time since I even considered buying another deck but that one could tempt me.

I just blew my entire Tarot budget on the Uusi threesome pack: Pagan Otherworlds, the Supra Oracle, and their new Materia Prima oracle. It's Yule, right? No regrets 'til January!

Uusi Trinity

I really love Pagan Otherworlds so far. I'm not sure I've seen many other decks that do so much with so little; the imagery is minimal but very, very layered.

My main complaint about all three decks: too slick! The cards are nigh-on frictionless. They're absolutely beautiful but a pain to work with.

*Gasp!* I want that! 😍

I just wish it wasn't nearly $400 after shipping and currency conversion 😭
