What decks, books or other tarot-related items are you waiting to receive in the mail? I recently opened my mailbox and found the Gendron Tarot and the Secrets of the Mystic Grove Oracle deck.

I mentioned this in the thread on the reprint of the Oracle of the Radiant Sun, but thought it should be shared here in Tarot Decks too that the ORIGINAL Mythic Tarot will be coming out in a newly published edition by Eddison, coming Autumn 2019. There are some details in the Eddison catalogue here- go to page 29.

Ever since I was a kid, I loved The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I can't believe that Lo Scarabeo is going to release a Tarot deck featuring this classic tale next year. My mouth was agape as I was reading the news and until now I still can't believe it. Just this one deck makes the 2019 season so very worth it, at least for me. It's written by Rachel Paul and illustrated by Martina Rossi. I'll be looking forward to meeting this gem:

Just wondering if anybody here uses the Tarot of Mystical Moments, by Catrin Welz-Stein. I have been tempted by this deck many times, but am not sure that I would be able to use it in readings because the images are so strange. Beautiful, but strange. I have looked at the flip-through offerings on YouTube many times and am still not sure. I actually find the Minor Arcana cards more readable than the Majors, which is not the way this usually goes for me! I think what I need is a review of the deck. I see it's listed in our Deck Library, but there is no review. Is there anybody here who uses the deck and is willing to share their opinion of it as a reading d…

I heard it through the grapevines... (= Facebook ^-^) that Baba Studio is currently thinking about reworking and reprinting this deck in the near future. It’s not a done deal yet but they say that it’s looking like it will happen. Here’s to hoping

Tomas Hijo is making another Jim Henson property tarot deck, this time it's Dark Crystal. Sadly this is also for Insight Additions so it's likely to be a pips deck. What I wouldn't *give* for a fully illustrated deck by him. The 'Diablo: the Sanctuary' Tarot Deck caught be by complete surprise. (Spouse is going to get it for me for Christmas, since we're both gamers. Perfect gift!) It's a fully illustrated deck, dark and gothic in red, white, black, and some gray. It looks pretty fantastic if the game is at all of interest. For those new to it, Diablo is a game made by Blizzard, a classic roguelike where your character is largely define…

I have been eyeballing the Chrysalis deck/book set since December. I like the images I have seen, and I do understand that it is non traditional. I have also read some reviews, but I wanted to get your opinions on the deck and book. What are your experiences with this deck. I would really love some honest personal opinions. All opinions are welcome :)

And any card-related reasons that you're still undecided? Someone mentioned SKT and for a moment I thought ZKT and read it as Zigeuner Kartenspiel and I had to laugh because when I googled it, a very very old thread from AT had me asking "why is Zieuner Kartenspiel on my wishlist?' I did put Spirit Keepers Tarot into the cart but didn't hit 'buy' as yet because overseas postage and not *entirely* certain about the artwork. This was the state of my wishlist when I signed up here. I'm going to revisit each and see what's been published lately, too. It looks like 2019 is going to be another exciting year for Tarot. Llewellyn is bound to release the Mermaid Tarot by Leeza Robertson and illustrated by Julie Dillon by March next year. As per usual among Llewellyn's offerings, it's going to be available in a kit with the deck and a 312-page book written by Robertson. The blurb says:

I've had this deck since I was a teenager (major arcana only, I have no idea if I used to have the full set). Very little memory of it but somehow have managed to hold on to it all this time. Any ideas what it is or where it comes from?

Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I've visited this forum. I find myself wanting to read the cards again, but most of my decks are more of the quirky, fairytale variety and I'm longing for something darker in imagery, possibly also in actual readings. I'm turning 30 this year and my inner emo/goth kid is desperate to come out after years of negligence, so I think this is an aspect of that desire 😁 I like vampires, skeletons, horror movies & books and generally spooky stuff so something featuring unsettling artwork should be right up my alley. I prefer the RWS system and anything commercially available, but if you know of any amazing indi…

It wasn't really gothic or a horror deck or anything, just like looking at a deck through a London fog. Basically different shades of gray. Ring a bell for anyone?

I wanted to write a review of this deck before January is over, it's the Happy New Year Tarot. These cards used turn of the century New Years Day postcards. I bought the deck off Esty's and it was from an independent vendor. The cards come with a felt green tarot bag (no box). It does not include a manual. If you buy the deck the author sends you a link for an e-book that can apply to any Tarot Deck, it's not specific to why they chose what images to represent certain cards. Some seem to have a correlation, others not at all. Krampus as the Devil seems appropriate--but I'm at sea as to most of the relationship to RWS meanings Each card has a name of a tarot card o…

Hello everyone, I bought myself a Christmas gift....The Vice Versa Tarot deck from Scarabeo. I just love it, and energetically I can feel it very intense... I was wondering if anyone has this deck, and how does it work for you? I'm trying to figure out "my way" of reading the fronts and backs...does anyone have any advice or experience they want to share?

Can anyone recall the name of a deck that has an image of a werewolf in either the two of cups or the lovers? I'm pretty sure the deck I'm searching for has it in the two of cups but for the life of me I can't remember which deck it is. Initially, I thought perhaps that was some alternative card I'd forgotten in the Bohemian Gothic Tarot, but no. It wasn't there. It has to be a deck I own (things are somewhat packed up right now) and I don't have any vampire or werewolf decks. Anyone?

Have YOU ever gotten or seen a deck that viscerally repelled you? I don't mean just "nah, it didn't resonate". I mean like, "Eww. Gross, Get it away from me!" To explain: I recently got sent a deck by mistake. I tired to return it to the vendor but they never sent the return postage label -- so I finally just opened the package to have a look. It's the Tarot Ocsuro. While I appreciated some of the artwork, the deck itself repulsed me. I found myself with a visceral negative reaction to some of the motifs the artist used [WHY the criss-cross bandages over nipples???] I understand the deck is supposed to be a Shadow deck. I got no prob…

I just read about this deck, and I was very charmed. I like how light and wholesome the cards are, and the Mucha-inspired backgrounds in some of them are adorable! The assignment of diverse Pokemon to the various cards are usually spot on, tho I would have gone with different characters in some of them. Overall it just works tho. You can see all of the cards in the pic below. To see the cards in greater detail, just open the image in another tab or window: You can also see all of the cards in the Pokemon Tarot gallery in the creator's DeviantArt account. She is taking pre-orders for the very first batch of decks she will release until July 1. Check out her Tum…

Almost all the decks that I'm buying have some cards that I don't like (I suspect everyone feels the same way). For example the Maat. Most of the cards are gorgeous. I love those cards and I really hate a few others (so I have very strong emotion about this deck). I can't stand the Devil and about 3-4 more cards. So I am not using the deck for reading. It's a pity, the rest of the deck is great. What is your experience with decks that have cards you don't like? Can you just overlook/disregard them? Are you still using them for reading?
