Tarot Spreads

Lo Scarabeo put up this spread for "interviewing" a new deck of cards. I have several new ones and I want to try it. Had anyone done this said before? If so what were your impressions? I'll probably do this over the weekend when I have more time.

As per the title. I always thought deck interviews were silly ... and never got good results anyway. But i wish to give it another go with Triunfi della Luna deck. I've already used that deck quite a few times sans interview ... and get really inconsistent results ... sometimes it just HITS ... other times no. Usually a deck is 90% hits or 90% misses (and it goes to thrift store). I've never had a deck that was 50/50. Bunch of deck interviews on the internet, of course ... but this is a more discerning group. Your faves?

I did a presentation to the Capital Tarot Society yesterday, Exploring Old Spreads, based on the book, Untold Tarot: The Lost Art of Reading Ancient Tarot by Caitlin Matthews. The presentation is attached. There is more good info in the book, so get it if you’re interested! I also geeked out on the historical decks she used to illustrate the book. After playing around with them for a little bit, I think my favorite spread is the Pages Have News for You, and maybe the Fountain, but I haven’t really tried that out yet. This is a spread I use quite often both for myself and others. It can be used for various specific questions or just a general sense which is probably why I have never come up with a name. It is a larger spread at eight cards which is odd because I am three person (3 cards or sets of 3). I hope this spread works for people here as well as it has worked for me over the years. I have been doing tarot for a year but I am still learning. I haven't done a-lot of readings until recently because of a new relationship. Currently I just shuffle and whatever falls I take into account, I never know when to stop though. So I will have 10 cards on the table and be confused because I can't exactly interpret what's going on with so many cards. So what are simple spreads for newbies like me?

I really enjoy doing time position spreads. Aka: "what is The forecast for my love life for next week" and draw 7 cards, 1 card for each day, or "what is waiting for me next month" and draw 4 cards, 1 card for each week.

Im curious. I did 2 personal readings for myself. PPF General reading: Tower, Wheel of fortune, Devil PPF financial reading: 2 of cups, 3 of wands and wheel of fortune. Im curious what you guys think. I also did a love PPF but can’t remember the past and present.. the future however is ace of pentacles. I am single. Anyone ever use the cards to predict the weather? I'm beginning to think they could be more accurate than the weather folks on tv. Imagine getting the Fool and The Tower for "What will the weather like tomorrow?"
