Tarot Decks

I was just reminded of an appearance of a Tarot deck in series 2, episode 2 (2013) of Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries; "Death Comes Knocking". The deck is shown a couple of times, but the best look at it comes towards the end of the show; At 58:48 in the above linked video is where Jack Robinson gets a reading from Mrs. Bolkonsky. It is an interesting looking deck and I'm wondering if anybody recognizes it?

This has been making me a little bonkers trying to find out what deck this is-- Ive been meaning to join this forum for almost a year now- so what a perfect reason to do so. Hi and blessed be all. This is the back of card image. I have jpegs of fronts but can't figure out how to add them here.

I've had this deck since I was a teenager (major arcana only, I have no idea if I used to have the full set). Very little memory of it but somehow have managed to hold on to it all this time. Any ideas what it is or where it comes from?

This is a hypothetical question, for me, since I have no children and no access to any that I might teach tarot to, but talking to FreyjaVanir[/member] about the Crystal Unicorns deck made me wonder. There's plenty of decks I might be careful to keep away from a young child - Finland (where I am) doesn't really have a taboo against non-sexualised nudity, so that wouldn't be enough to make me put a deck on a high shelf, but there are some fairly dark or sexual decks out there that I think we can agree we wouldn't let a nine-year-old play with! - but I can't think of many that are not just child-friendly, but also easily readable. Hi guys, I haven't see a thread like this with the advanced search, and I wanted to identify a Tarot Deck. Maybe this thread could be used every time we want to identify a Tarot deck based only on a picture or a description. Anyway, here is the deck that I want to know the name: I'm 100% sure that it's from Lo Scarabeo, and I saw reviews of it before, but I wasn't drawn to it in the past and never noted the deck's name. If you know that you have to perform a very important reading that needs to be extremely accurate, which deck would you reach for? If push comes to shove and the clock is ticking, which would you choose to make your Hail Mary pass? It can be a deck you feel a very strong rapport with or which has a high batting average, or maybe it has given you very clear and straightforward readings.

Hello, everyone Do you have a comfort deck? A deck that you go to when you want a soothing, gentle reading that you know will calm you and let you know that everything will be all right? A deck that just lifts your spirits? Or a deck that makes you feel better just by holding it (or is that just me?). Mine are the Hanson-Roberts Tarot and the Happy Tarot. The Hanson-Roberts was my first deck, so it feels like an old friend. It's artwork is gentle, with soft pastels, and I know I'll always get an encouraging reading from it. The Happy Tarot is the lift-my-spirits deck - when I'm feeling down, I pull it out, and it always makes me smile.

I've never been much of a deck collector ... limited space. But after moving to larger digs ... I recently started collecting. Yes, the flip-throughs save me from buying decks I won't ever use ... but I still might purchase a deck thinking it will be great to read with ... and nothing. Then another deck I feel hesitant about ... and BAM! Instant rapport. Curious, right? I have instant rapport with some decks I didn't expect ... and NO rapport with some decks I thought I'd love. To qualify I'm asking about decks you bought from say, 5-15 years ago when they were trendier or new that you still use regularly. What has kept your interest, has anything changed in how you perceive the deck? What about decks you may have jumped on the bandwagon with that lost your interest? When looking at your decks, do you notice a certain theme? Do you seem to like collecting Thoth-based decks, pocket-sized decks in tins, historical ones, etc? When you check a certain category in good old AT, does it seem like you have bought almost all the decks listed there? Or are your tastes quite varied and eclectic?

I am struggling to decide whether to buy myself a book about tarot or a tarot deck. Both cost around the same price. What do you recommend I buy?
