78 Weeks of Tarot

Hello my friends, This is the thread where we can all post suggestions for each other on how to approach this 78 week study. The only rules are the general Forum rules. All are welcome. Feel free to join at any time, and if you need to take a break, feel welcome to break, and return when and as you are able. Choose your own deck. One card a week for 78 weeks. Note that these threads for the individual cards were created for the 2017-2019 study group, and each thread has a link to that study group's intro thread. That link no longer works. This is the information thread for the "Tarot, Tea, and Me" 78 Weeks of Tarot study group. This is a group which was first run by "jmd" on the old Aeclectic Tarot Forums. In this study group we will study a single card of the Tarot for one week. The group will be starting on Sunday, 10 September 2017 and will finish with the last week of study beginning 10 March 2019 (the week before the Spring Equinox). Hello Tarot friends, I see that a couple years ago a number of people gathered to share in a 78 week study. I am just picking up a new deck, the Wild Unknown Tarot, and I'm thinking I would enjoy a 78 week study with this lovely deck. You, of course, are free to pick any deck of your own. We could also individually choose to either study the cards in order, or by random draw. I am thinking of going in order, just because some authors show a journey through each suit, and I'm hoping that's the case with Wild Unknown. I haven't really worked out the details. This is the thread where you can post some general thoughts and notes about the Tarot deck you will be using for the 78 Weeks of Tarot study group. This can be about things such as the artwork, the tradition it follows - or doesn't follow very well, what you like or don't like about it (again, in general terms), how you acquired the deck ... anything that strikes your fancy. You may briefly discuss particular cards as they apply to your impressions of the deck. No real rules for this thread (other than forum rules ;)), but remember that you will be posting in depth about the individual cards as we go through the study.
