Tarot Decks

Has anyone worked with this deck? How did you find it, and what are your experiences with it? Does its forecasted images really confine your interpretations as some people say, or does it read beautifully for you? I have determined that 2018 would be an RWS year for me, so aside from focusing on the system, I'm planning to study decks that offer different perspectives on it, ones which are creative and inspired. I already bought this one with the kit so that I can immerse myself in it more. I'm so excited for it. :D

Not sure if this is already known, but I just noticed that USGames has the CBD Tarot de Marseille available for pre-order, to ship late November. I’ve been looking forward to adding this one to my collection and am happy to see it available again after the sad and unexpected passing of its creator, Yoav Ben-Dov, in December last year.

On Tuesday I stopped by our local New-age shop since I had a bit of extra money (I'd finally cashed in my loose change ;)). I went in thinking I might get the Medicine Cards oracle. But, as I was looking at the decks, the Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot caught my eye. Now, I've seen it there before, but I hadn't really paid attention to it. But for some reason, it kind of jumped out at me. Looking through the sample deck, I was struck by the dream-like quality of the artwork. I basically fell in love with the deck. In my opinion, The Fool is one of the most important cards in a Tarot deck. And this one is very unique and very cool. It is almost a cross between Fool and Chariot…

Some weeks ago I finally got Joie de Vivre, which had been on my wishlist since I started getting more into tarot about 4 years ago. I love it so much! So I wondered how does it compare to the Pauline Tarot, by the same artist? It's also on my wishlist and I'm thinking of getting it eventually. I've read the Paulina is busier than the Joie, more details in the artwork etc. Those of you who have both, what do you think?

It's supposed to ship September 15. Like the other recent Rider Waite editions that have been popping up on Etsy, Amazon and eBay, this one claims to be a reproduction of one of the very first editions. I'll wait and see.

But the deck itself is stunning and I've already nabbed a copy for myself! Just thought I'd spread the news in case anyone else has been waiting for this one too :)

I was just reminded of an appearance of a Tarot deck in series 2, episode 2 (2013) of Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries; "Death Comes Knocking". The deck is shown a couple of times, but the best look at it comes towards the end of the show; At 58:48 in the above linked video is where Jack Robinson gets a reading from Mrs. Bolkonsky. It is an interesting looking deck and I'm wondering if anybody recognizes it?

Do you have any concept that you wished existed as a Tarot Deck? Something that has never been applied in a cartomantic framework before, or was already in production but never made it to publication. It can be a person, an ideology, TV show, book series, etc. On my part, I've heard that they planned to release an Anne Rice Tarot deck before, but it fell through. I've read that her Christian phase had something to do with it? I wonder how it would have been like if it pushed through. Also, I know that there are Angel, Saint, and even Buddha Tarot decks, but has there ever been a legit 78-deck Demons Tarot? I think there are only 72 Goetic demons (countered by the 72…

Hi Friends, Does anyone here own the 78 card version of the Star Tarot? My understanding is that this version (vs. the major acana-only version) was just released not too long ago. Just came across this deck that's currently on Indiegogo, same creator as the latest Shakespeare Tarot (the horizontal one) that I believe came out late last year or early this year. Does anyone know if they still print this deck? I was under the impression it was OOP. I found it the other day in a shop so just curious. Of course you can get a new one on Amazon at a hefty price but mine was 20 something bucks.

Mystical Tarot is listed some places as by Luigi Costa, others as Giuliano Costa. Everything else looks identical. The Luigi ones for an English market, but I thought they were all multi lingual by that company. I just ordered the less expensive one, but is there any difference? Thanks!

I came home from work real excited today because it was pay day and I had some moneys squirreled away so I was ready to BUY A NEW DECK, YAY! So I gathered up my wish list, and prices and started comparing and watching reviews and.... I really can't decide! It's so hard! I love the Margarete Petersen Tarot….the art work is fantastic,,,,now that LWB that comes with if is another story…but I guess the combination of the artwork and the esoteric writings/ramblings is what make the deck unique…. But I have come to see it as more of an art deck that a true viable tarot deck…I use if for the occasional my personal daily draws sometimes…I usually just allow the card pulled to speak to me on its own but sometimes I look it up in the LWB…Sometimes the book is helpful, but for me not always…. Hi all, ...does anyone have Nora Huszka’s Starlight Dragon Tarot? I am very curious about this deck…but it’s expensive, with shipping it’s $66 & change….It’s just a bit pricey for me when I have not heard a lot of chatter about the deck. I have Nora Huszka’s Gypsy Palace Tarot and love it….it is one of my favorite decks…but I question spending $66 plus change to appease my curiosity….anyone have the deck? I have been following his website and - well, I know he has posted on FB, as someone told me !
