So this has become a spread that I've been using more and more lately. It was made popular by Oswald Wirth, though it most likely predated him, and is a staple in many French cartomancy/tarot books. It's laid down like this: Though the meanings given to each position varies, I tend to use it like so: • Card 1 as what's for the situation • Card 2 as what's against the situation • Card 3 as the advice regarding the situation • Card 4 as the outcome if you take the advice • Card 5 as the synthesis/final say I've seen some people use Card 1 as the querent, or they'll read cards 1, 5 & 2 as the present si…

Hey you guys, I wanted to share a spread with you guys that I've found to be so helpful for navigating a break up called The Heartbreak Spread. Here's how the cards are laid out: Factors: What contributed to the breakup or heartache? Lessons to Learn: What can I learn from this experience? Healing: How can I heal and move forward? Future: What does the future hold for my love life or personal growth? Does anyone have other Heartbreak spreads they could recommend? I'm eager to try some new ones -TarotGirl

I did a presentation to the Capital Tarot Society yesterday, Exploring Old Spreads, based on the book, Untold Tarot: The Lost Art of Reading Ancient Tarot by Caitlin Matthews. The presentation is attached. There is more good info in the book, so get it if you’re interested! I also geeked out on the historical decks she used to illustrate the book. After playing around with them for a little bit, I think my favorite spread is the Pages Have News for You, and maybe the Fountain, but I haven’t really tried that out yet. Which ones do you think you’ll try? Exploring Old Spreads 9-9-23.pdf

Hello, In this thread, I will be posting some of the spreads I have created (making a separate thread for each spread seemed like spamming). They're inspired by situations I was dealing with and by the numerous spreads I came across all over the internet, in books as well as in AT forum! Feel free to use them + I'd love to hear a feedback if you want to share. 😊

This is a lovely video from seven years ago, where Rachel showed her technique for making spreads. She used the querents own words and created spread positions based on that. She also showed an example reading based on a fictional client. ❤️ We miss you, Rachel! ❤️

first reading: Queen of pentacles, eight of cups and the hierophant second reading: six of pentacles, Queen of pentacles and knight of pentacles last reading which was the most recent one: Page of wands, 6 of swords does anyone wanna provide an interpretation of what all this can mean i recently split from someone because they weren’t giving me what I needed.. it’s been approx 2 weeks almost three I’ve gotten some readings done in that time period and here is what was said in order (last being most recent) can anyone overall interpret these readings as a whole?

This thread got inspired by the "what makes a deck click for you?" Thread. @Chariot mentioned deck interview spreads a propos the what makes a deck click topic ... and I realized that very few spreads "click" for me. I have 3 go-to spreads and everything else is either open reading or make my own as needed. Most spreads just don't hit for me. I enjoy trying spreads on this forum ... in the reading circles or whatnot ... but I only do them here. I'll NEVER do any of them IRL. There's even one spread I learned at a conference that i really adore. But no. It remains enshrined in notes and never actually used. Like a deck that you love but never read with. …

Just had my solar return and I think my Saturn return is going on for a little bit longer (not quite sure the dates on Saturn.) I was looking for a good spread with emphasis on things that Saturn might change

My friend Linda created this spread in honor of Tina Turner and gave me permission to share it. RIP the amazing Queen of Rock, Tina Turner! Proud Mary - a strength of yours you can be proud of and rely on PrivateDancer/What's Love Got to Do With It? - the main trauma, blind spot, flaw, or conditioning that is challenging or holding you back now We Don't Need Another Hero - the habitual reaction or tempting pie-in-the sky "solution" that won't work or help (for #2) Better Be Good To Me/Let's Stay Together - the best way to move forward to address your challenge (for #2) River Deep, Mountain High - An unfailing resource tha…

This is a spread I use quite often both for myself and others. It can be used for various specific questions or just a general sense which is probably why I have never come up with a name. It is a larger spread at eight cards which is odd because I am three person (3 cards or sets of 3). I hope this spread works for people here as well as it has worked for me over the years. Past (upper left): Represents the past Present (upper right): Represents the present Middle Row: Three advice cards Outcome (bottom middle): Where you will be after heeding (or not) the advice cards. What are you trying to achieve (Bottom row to the right …

I have been doing tarot for a year but I am still learning. I haven't done a-lot of readings until recently because of a new relationship. Currently I just shuffle and whatever falls I take into account, I never know when to stop though. So I will have 10 cards on the table and be confused because I can't exactly interpret what's going on with so many cards. So what are simple spreads for newbies like me?

I tend to enjoy spreads that connect with the mind, body, and soul, and this one also throws in the past, present, future spread as well! I found it online, the credit tag is on the photo.

In many cultures, the days of the week are associated with the seven "classic" planets (planets that are visible with the naked eye, without the sophisticated technology developed over the last centuries). English, French and German names for the weekdays reflect the planetary "patrons". Saturday: Saturn, obvious! Sunday: Sun, obvious as well! Monday: another obvious one, the Moon of course Tuesday: named after Tyr, the Germanic/Nordic equivalent to Mars - French mardi Wednesday: another Germanic god, Woden, equivalent to Mercury - French mercredi Thursday: Germanic/Nordic god Donar, equivalent to Jupiter (both gods of thunder) - Ge…

I really enjoy doing time position spreads. Aka: "what is The forecast for my love life for next week" and draw 7 cards, 1 card for each day, or "what is waiting for me next month" and draw 4 cards, 1 card for each week.

Just wanted to share this spread I just came up with. Just did a reading and couldn't find a spread I liked so made my own. I feel like it worked out well! The path you are on The path you should take The path you should avoid Advice on how to stay on the right path How to avoid straying from the right path And a used an oracle at the end for a theme of the reading.

Im curious. I did 2 personal readings for myself. PPF General reading: Tower, Wheel of fortune, Devil PPF financial reading: 2 of cups, 3 of wands and wheel of fortune. Im curious what you guys think. I also did a love PPF but can’t remember the past and present.. the future however is ace of pentacles. I am single. I posted them all together also to see if there is a correlation between them since they were done within the same hour. Thanks!

Anyone ever use the cards to predict the weather? I'm beginning to think they could be more accurate than the weather folks on tv. Imagine getting the Fool and The Tower for "What will the weather like tomorrow?"

Darkness / Dismemberment / Brokenness. What have you lost? What are you grieving? What is broken within you? (If you get a positive card in this position, you might want to read its shadow side or reversed meaning.) Promise / Rebirth of the Sun / Renewal. What is the promise of renewal that will come with the dawn of Winter Solstice? (Likewise, if you get a negative or reversed card in this position, you might want to read its more positive meaning.) Integration of Dark and Light. How do the darkness and the dawn intertwine? What wisdom do they create together? Gift of the Darkness / Remember. What is the gift of the broken time, hidden in…

This is a collective new moon and full moon depends the phase zodiac (sun, moon, rising (mostly rising i explain later) spread i also tend to read the meanings combined to several astrology events sometimes for each of these placements especially if they come up but this part can be optional if you don't read astrology transits as well So you start of with the general energy of the moon on top which you choose exactly like you choose for any reading so any way is right if you work with moon decks you can also choose to put its phase or/and exact placement like new moon in Sagittarius or the moon phase and the sign it's in next to it (for astrology decks if you don't …

I’m wondering if there’s any specific spreads meant for reading about multiple romantic relationships at the same time (ex I’m in a relationship and want to know about any other future relationships that would interact with my current relationship). I’ve seen there is a spread for 3 person relationships but I don’t think it quite fits what I’m looking for. I’m also wondering if it would be better to do multiple small spreads and ask them as separate questions?

Hello, Anyone else like smaller spreads over big ones? I really enjoy performing the 3-card spread (past, present, and future) on my clients as it gives me a good overview without being too specific and become lost in endless details. Also, I find it so much easier to consolidate the 3 cards at the end of a reading.
