At TT&M, we have a growing deck library which features images of decks owned by members and we hope will grow into a great and evolving resource in the future! But in order to do this, we need YOUR help! We have a tutorial walking you through the stages of adding a deck to our library! You can find it here - https://www.thetarotforum.com/forums/topic/13540-deck-library-submissions-tutorial/#comment-233617 How: 1. Check the list here to see if the deck you want to include is already on the forum - https://www.thetarotforum.com/library/ 2. If its not, click this link and then the "add images" button: https://www.the…

After consulting Daniel earlier today, I decided to start a thread about what to keep in mind if you are a beginner and on your way to chose a tarot deck. These are advices I wish I had received when I was younger. I will post advice here in small portions, beginning with these subject matters, in the next few days or weeks. I know from experience, that it's easier to finish a project, if I divide it in smaller segments. Do you have a firm opinion on the sequential position of Justice and Strength? This matters. Do you expect a Popess, a High Priestess or the goddess Juno? Choose wisely! Danes and the French still play games with ta…

We already have a list for decks that feature diversity (you can find it here), but I feel that we should have a list that highlights all the fantastic decks that are made by black, indigenous, people of color. All types of decks are welcome here, we can separate the list into Tarot, Oracle, Lenormand, Cartomancy. Please help us create this valuable resource! UPDATE: Following discussions amongst the staff regarding some of the suggestions, we have decided to highlight work here by creators who fall under the BIPOC definition and also the BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) definition which is commonly used in the UK. TAROT African…

Found this lovely card, but all image searches come up empty and I’ve tried googling everything! I’m wondering if anyone would happen to know? Thank you!

This thread follows on from the popular thread back on ATF which allowed people to search for and be matched up with people who could send them missing cards from their decks Guidelines - Before posting here, check with the deck publisher or artist (for self-published decks), if they could send you a missing or damaged card or two. Especially if your deck was recently bought - This thread is for requests of lost or missing cards, LWB's and other parts of decks. You can ask for a few cards max but not a complete deck - Selling, buying and seeking complete decks must go in the Tarot Trading Section (note: this is a supporter only are…

I like checking out the decks being created on Kickstarter and really enjoy hearing your thoughts. This one was funded on the day it was announced: Journey of the Sacred Bee Inkromacy Mystical Tarot

Thought we could have a thread like it's sister the Kickstarter Decks thread but for new decks coming out which are not via crowdfunding This is a thread of deck release news that members are interested in and / or the community would be. Thoughts and discussion on the posts are welcome. Thread Rules - This thread is for deck announcements, new issues, new editions and date announcements. Not decks that are just new to you. Links or photos with the decks are helpful - You can start a separate thread to the deck individually as well as here if you want a greater discussion on it. Both are fine. - This isn't the place to promote your o…

@gregory @Rodney and others on here that migrated from AT. Do any of you still have photos of your collections? Sometimes people don’t realize just how passionate tarot people can be. It seems that I once remember reading some post in the middle of the night about gregory and Kaplan (RIP) competing for some deck on eBay. It was eons ago now.

There have been so many discussions lately around the topic of diversity (and the lack thereof) when it comes to tarot and oracle decks. Its an important one and its a topic that we here at TT&M care greatly about. That is why I am hoping that you will all want to help me compile a massive list of decks that are diverse (in any way). I am talking about the decks that are inclusive when it comes to skin color/ethnicity/culture, age, body shapes, sexual orientation, gender variance, physical disabilities and so on. It would be perfect if you could share any decks that you know. Links and/or pictures would be great but are not mandatory ^-^ So pl…

This is the thread to post deck sales and offers that you see around the net, which might be helpful to other people here - This isn't the place to post your own deck's / shops sales and reductions, they need to go in a thread in Promote Yourself - Trading decks between members and posting the decks you are seeking must go in the Tarot Trading Section (These are both areas where only subscribers can post) - Please state the site (links allowed), the country/countries covered and if there is a date the sale ends. For example, what Amazon if you see a deck on sale there. - Links to pirated decks will be removed. Please be careful of th…

Well, since we already have a de-enabling thread, I thought we should also have an enabling one. It is only fair after all. Plus I have proven over and over I'm a disaster at de-enabling people... There was not a single de-enabling thread at now-defunct AT, but a veritable cornucopia of them, so I'm linking my search instead of a particular thread: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/find.shtml?cx=008526656784353379572%3Aw1vqc7clg1y&ie=UTF-8&q=enable+thread&x=0&y=0. And I stole this title, because I just love it! So, folks, what's your poison?

There has been some discussion about being addicted to buying tarot cards. This can also include over-reading of tarot cards or any of the negative habits that come from too much tarot. This is not a thread for seeking help. If you have an actual addiction physically or mentally regarding the tarot, please, seek a proper health provider. If you would like to discuss getting out of tarot reading or selling or any other aspects, feel free to post on this thread. You are not alone! Many tarot readers and collectors have felt they need to be talked down from their habits and we can do that because so many of us have experienced the same thing you are going through. Ple…

This project will run for the rest of the year. Similar to gregory's "most used deck" poll, please just list decks. Do not discuss merits. Do not say whether you use the deck or not, etc. It will be ignored. Just list what decks you think should be included in a final list of 40 decks. The top forty decks will be put in a poll and we will vote for the top ten, "TT&M's All-Time Top Tarot". You can be as specific or non-specific in a deck's description as you like, but remember, this may hurt a deck's chances of ending up on the poll at the end of the year. For example: You can say, TdM or Conver TdM in your list, but if TdM comes in…

This went really well last year, so thought to bring it back this year 🙂 Again we are asking about your fave decks over the last year, What was your favourite deck / decks of 2023? This might be a brand new deck you bought, a new deck that came out in 2023, an older deck or historic deck you discovered. Maybe a deck you had an interesting reading experience with or the deck or decks you read with the most? You can pick your choices however you like. If you voted last year, you can vote for the same decks again if you'd like to. These were the results of decks of 2022 here Voting Instructions Every member …

This thread is intended to complement ‘What’s the Postman bringing?’. Here is the place where you can talk about your latest purchases and share your initial thoughts on them. (And don’t worry if you’ve already ripped open the packaging - this is for unboxings and/or first impressions. And while pictures are greatly appreciated they are certainly not mandatory!) So have some fun and share the excitement with the rest of us <3

We have the enabling thread: We have the de-enabling thread: But where do you go if you just want to say "What do you think of this deck ?" without asking to be enabled or de-enabled , just wanting an opinion ? There could be loads of individual threads - or there could be - THIS thread ! So - here it is - the opinion thread.

What decks, books or other tarot-related items are you waiting for in the post or have recently ordered? There is a separate thread in the Chat area (subscribers only) for anything else you are waiting for - The postwoman isn't bringing me tarot We are on to part 2, we need to get to Part 14 in time to match the longevity of the original incarnation of this thread back on Aeclectic 😀 Archived - Part 1

This looks like a very pretty majors only deck!

Just saw that we're going to have another Wizards Tarot deck early next year by Barbara Moore and Mieke Janssens. I love the artwork. It looks fantastic and I cannot wait to get it! 😍After Corinne Kenner's Wizards Tarot went out of print, I'm glad there will be another beautiful wizards deck available. One question though - can they not come up with another name? Or add something to it to differentiate it from the other wizard decks? 🤔 Here is a link to the artist's portfolio, where she has some cards https://www.hireanillustrator.com/i/portfolio/mieke-janssens/#lg=1&slide=13 Her artwork is very beautiful. https://www.amazon.com/Wizards-Taro…

Need is definitely in quotes because I have 367 decks. 😼 Right now one of them is the newish Lo Scarabeo Once Upon a Time Tarot. It's ok. Because I'm an old fogie, I'm not enamored of the fantasy artwork, but I thought I'd give it a try for the theme. Well, it has tales for the majors, not all of which I'm familiar with, and just fantasy creatures for the minors, including courts (dragons, mermaids, fairies, mushroom cap people). On the plus side, the Magician is Puss in Boots. So I need recommendations for a fairytale deck I'd like better. I've had Lisa Hunt's Fairy Tale Tarot and Isha Lerner's Inner Child Cards, both years ago. I seem to not be …

Hello everyone! Hope you're all well. Not sure if I am in the minority, but I actually like tarot cards that are used for both reading and gaming. There is symbolism there too (e.g. even the Kings could be beaten by Death or by the Judgement, and the Fool does not follow the conventional rules). I don't do gaming often though, and I usually only do readings for myself and my wife. Anyway, I got interested in the "Piedmontese" decks, and I was wondering if anyone has some of these that they are especially happy with? I especially like the look of this one, but I could not find it anywhere. Does anyone know where to look for this? I know that there are othe…

I‘ve done a search without any results, so I hope it’s ok to open a new thread for this. Do you know of any decks with humans, but without pregnant bellies and babies? So basically a „childfree„ deck where the concept of fertility is interpreted differently. TIA!
